A 'flow' in hip-hop essentially has to flow and i don't think he gives himself a chance with all those pauses

I was so hyped for this song at first but now that I've heard it a few times it does sound like Recovery. A slight improvement I guess, Em sounds like he's rapping more comfortably and all that, but I still get that Recovery vibe.

Maybe it's because he's yelling alot? Dunno, still like the song I guess but it's nothing to cum your pants over like most of you people make it out to be, and it's certainly doesn't compare to classic shit from The Eminem Show like "Till I Collapse". Can't judge the album from this one song either, so I can't wait.

I don't know why some people despise it. Personal opinions, yeah, but when you think "Survival"... and you realize that they premiered it during a Call of Duty event... what did people expect? What were people even looking for, another 3AM mixed with The Warning? This shit is amazing. Sure, it may sound Recovery-ish, but that's only maybe due to the style of the beat and hook. And it's way better than what was on Recovery anyway.

And Smh at people saying "Marshall should quit, we finna get Recovery 2.0, b." Please proceed to shove a butcher knife up your dickhole.

I don't get the Recovery comparison. I bumped recovery front to back today. He doesn't really sound the same. Different flow, delivery is more like what we've had recently (though the whispering isn't that bad). I guess he's kinda yelling but its not that bad to me. The beats actually cool too, so what is it? The female hook? Like the fuck were you expecting him to sound like?

If we get Recovery 2.0 I'll be pretty happy cuz I loved Recovery except couple tracks like WBD and Untitled. It's still in my top 5 albums since it came out

It's a Survival song, you'd WANT him to sound rebellious and angry like that. Dudes thought he was gonna make a song called Survival and the content be on some "How many hoes can I fuck in the Wal-Mart parking lot in a Pinto before AIDS takes over and I get captured by the SWAT team" shit.

I thought so too & posted about it Drezy... it's all about radio play & sales over at Interscope so it figures. Not my favorite Em style but he at least came hard with it.
