Dear Lord, have mercy on my banana clips
Give 'em half, call it that banana splits
But my halves is really like a banana 6banana 6 refers to a six shooter. two 6 shooters equal 12 bullets. Kendrick mentioned 11 rappers on his track, add Kenny that makes 12 rappers so one bullet per rapper. whew
These new niggas rappin' like they 2Kendrick claimed to be makaveli or 2pac and whatever, I've talked to people and they say it's like a quadruple entendre also meaning they're the shit like #2 haha I'm terrible at explaining shit
They be actin' like they you, man that's-- wheeeeeew shit
What happened to the game?
Niggas think they Jappin' cause they rappin' like they Wayne
Rappin' like they Chainzthis continues from that last line with the "2" wordplay, and he's basically saying that Kendrick is thinking he's all hot and shit cause he's everywhere and shit with the features and just before releasing SLR 2, Lupe tweeted rebuttals to Control in the style of different rappers including Wayne & Chainz making fun of them. So Lupe comparing him to them is pretty insulting haha
He's so crazy, look at the little baby
Nigga you ain't Nas, nigga you ain't Jay-Z
You will respect me, you will reject me
But I've done so much, no matter how far you go, you will reflect me
I thought this one was fairly obvious, referencing lines from "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" (remix) and the recent "Control"
and no matter how far Kendricks career will go it'll be a reflection on Lupe's influence on him.
and there is more throughout the whole song, just gotta think about it for a bit. :+)
