He is right, it's too soon to talk about kendrick as one of the goats but he'll be there if he can release other great albums.

But when was the last time a rookie was praised like that ? People were laughing at Lil Wayne when he self-proclaimed himself to be one of the best rappers. Kendrick was humble and underground and the fact that he was already in the conversation with the greats speaks volume on his talent

Well I'd agree.

Both of his albums are fantastic but...two albums.

Then again it seems like everyone thinks that way about Eminem anyhow. Two classics but he's considered a GOAT.

To be fair though, a lot of these GOATs at the time probably had the same opinion about Em the way they do about Kendrick now. Except Em dropped 3 classics and had the world in an uproar for a while.

How can "hype" be premature? The hype is justified as are his finished products, now if he is going to continue to get praised even after he drops subpar material then yes.

But he's right, Kendrick is still young and I think we all know it's a little early to start putting him in top 5's of all time but to say he doesn't have potential would be wrong.

It was a huge compliment tbh, he was just saying that kendrick is probably the best right now but he needs to surpass Rakim, 2Pac, Eminem and other veteran rappers if he wants to be the "Goat".
