Maybe the best course of action would be to do some songs that were never on The MMLP, modify the lyrics a bit to fit the times. Like for instance instead of ''Lauren Hill'' use ''Lady Gaga.''

That sounds awful, predictable, and ridiculous.

Predictable maybe, but satisfying and gratifying as opposed to mortifying and horrifying. We need old Em back, bro. I'd rather listen to something predictable and good instead of unpredictable, wack and sporadic.

Not satisfying. Boring. We don't need to ever look back.

If I want Em bashing pointless pop icons, I have a myriad of that material... already.

I don't need more of it.

What I need more of - is genius concepts.

EmBase, I just don't see how his new stuff is a genius concept. You consider Recovery and HTS genius? There is a difference between evolving as an artist as opposed to just switching it up, just do do it. Tupac was very consistent in his work, he wasn't rapping about relapsing one day, then recovering, then trying to get redemption. We knew what we were getting with him. Em is just trying to be a new cat everyday. But I care more about quality.

I'd rather have Eminem bragging about his ability to be relevant in the game than spitting some generic punchlines about pop-stars. Meh.

Are you the product of a failed abortion parented by an autistic alcoholic of a mother? Seriously. EmBase didn't call either of those projects genius, he just wants to hear genius concepts from this new album, and so do I and most of Eminem's fan base who have thoughts a bit deeper than the primal "must have food and water" running through their brains, even if they are few (you obviously are part of the majority). Eminem said himself that if your album sounds the same every time there's no point in making new music, and an artist should always grow album to album. That's what Eminem has been doing. Doing what you want him to do is the opposite of that. Eminem doesn't need to recapture his old sound, it's as much of a compromise as Recovery was because it's him submitting to a portion of his fan base rather than him doing what he truly wants to do. Who cares what Tupac did, Tupac is, as a person, different than Eminem is. They're not going to have the same approach to their new albums. Eminem isn't trying to be a "new cat" every time, he just tries not to be a one-trick pony. Growing and changing isn't becoming someone new...Sadly, most of his fans are exactly as stupid as you (and some shockingly even more so) and only want him to do celeb-bashing and coke-snorting in his music. You say you care more about quality, but there's an equal chance the new album will be shit if he does what you want, if you step out of your comfort zone and really think for a second. It's never a good idea to stay the same because people will get bored. It's better to burn out than fade away. He will fade away if he becomes boring and repetitive.

EDIT: what the fuck does it matter anyways that he's changing so much? I don't even understand your actual issues with that, there shouldn't be a problem that he generally doesn't stay in his comfort zone as far as his albums' subject matter. It should be exciting as a fan to know that he might be doing something we've not heard before.

Basically.. Relapse without the accent and better content.

Would be classic.

Yeah, but It probably won't happen because those dope guys don't produce anymore, I mean Doctor and Marshall.

Although Dre said he was inspired by Em's new stuff to go back to the studio, it could mean he was going to be in the studio to produce some shit. But I doubt tbh.

Hard to say. Even if he doesn't, Dre's got enough beats to just give to another rapper from 3 years ago and tell him he just finished it. So you would never know.

When did I say his new stuff WAS genius concepts?

I said that's what I want, not that he's doing it.

What I certainly don't, and never want, and what I think is the death of an artist: is to go backwards.

He almost made Relapse 2 and In 'Talking To Myself' Em said, ''The New me is back to the old me.''

If you look at SSLP and MMLP, they aren't that much different in style.
