first off...

the reason why i responded the way i did to this thread was cuz encore came out 2 years ago. and yet, i still find fans bitching and complaining about it

yeah, soperman, what you said could've been contructive criticism back in 2004, but when you hear it 2 fucking years later... it turns into bitching, therefore annoying.

and the fact that you say "i want the old eminem" and he needs to do this and that... i'ma say it again. an artist cannot stay the same forever. just cuz he is admired by millions of poeple, doens't mean he has to stay in one little box to make everyone happy. it's his life, his career, his music... let him do whatever he wants. if you don't like it, then stfu and stop complaining. no one is forcing you to listen to his music.

and to be honest, encore gets a lotta shit for the few songs that weren't that great. i found a perfect review for encore, and she labeled more than half the songs decent and quite good, and yet overall, she shitted on the record.

or some reason, the bad songs overcome the good songs on that record.

i know many ppl will disagree cuz after all, there are certaiun opinions... but this is just the general view i've got from different people from different places... now replace 2 of the bad songs with we as americans and love you more, (which was supposed to be on the record, but thanks to net ppl like us, they leaked, and had to be removed from the album) and you got a pretty decent album. maybe not his best, but far better than the other shit that i've heard.

my point is... if you want the old eminem back, then go listen to the mm lp and you'll get the old eminem. there's no point in telling someone what he/she should do.

it doesnt matter how much u review every song.. the fact that his album manages to leave a "Meh" felling and he kills the feeling of the album with some hidiouzs tracks and noises he does is why it gets hated... i stated that and merely that only.

I think it's the absence of his slim shady personlaity is the main contribution to his deeper voice on encore.. When he assumes the role of slim shady his voice is like hella higher pitched and shit. SO FUCKIN BRING BACK SLIM SHADY!!!!

u say u want Slim Shady back but the truth is Encore was Slim Shady thats basicly wat almost the whole album was the Eminem character was in some of the songs but most of that album was Slim Shady look it goes like this

I personally enjoyed Enore. With everything he was going through it was a great album. I find it funny how the fans bitch & moan about it when they asked for it. He has gotten older & more mature anyone can tell from The Eminem Show. Most fans bitched & moaned about getting Slim Shady back, meaning the Just Don't Give A Fuck, class clown guy who gave you My name is & The Real SlimShady. Stupid shit. As for his lyrics they're fine to me. He is a lyrical fuckin' genius in my opinion. I loved every track on Encore & I'm not saying that just to be a suck up. I enjoy everything he does. That's him.A fuckin' class clown, then he's a fuckin' dark, rude genius. Talking about killing stabbing slicing.....you get my drift. Then it's Marshall & his feelings.

Encore, to me was pretty much him apologizing for every fuckin' thing that happend with he racist shit, then him addressing Benzino for the final time. After he's done that he just has fun. Shit, I wouldn't blame him. The album to me was emotional then funny as always. Even with Ass like that, that was him addressing what happend with Triumph the comic dog. That was genius. He ws basically saying he gets flack from everything he says but triumph does the same thing & people laugh. So he took on his personality to get away with it. But most fans say that was tasteless. How? When he did the same shit on SSlp & MMlp when he talks about NSync Backstreet boys, Britney & so forth. It's the same antics. He just brought it to the recent stars that were getting big. Big Weenie talks about Benzino once again makes fun of him. Funny shit.

His verse on Touch it remix was ass? Not to me. It was great. Shit I mean how do you ask why is he screaming Aah aah aah on the verse? That's him he changes shit. They turn the fuckin' beat up & they start yellin' their verses. So he yelled Aah aah aah . He said he don't even know why he was yellin' on that part of the song. Just listen to it. He's great to me. That's my opinion. I loved Fack too. Funny shit & I'm to be 21 years old this year, so maybe something is wrong with my sense of humor. Like I said b4 his fans are complaining 4 him to be Shady. He's not Shady anymore he's older but he always tries to please us so he wrote that shit. Proof even said on an interview while they were tour that it was hard for him to write Encore. He only did what you people asked & you weren't satified. As for me I was & will always be. Long live the King

LOL All jokes aside, I'm glad to see there are other people who got the meaning of Encore. That there are people who read between the lines of the jokes & saw what it really meant. He worked hard on it & he deserves credit. Yeah, there are people with their own opinions just like I have mine. I just wish they'd see he was trying & that he has changed & except it. These are the things that drives him nuts. He almost worked himself to death. Fan are suppose to support an artist through change. They may not like it but don't whine about it.
