Not much is known about Eminem‘s upcoming 2013 album, or when it will be releasing, but it seems like the Detroit emcee is gearing up to release something soon from it. With the MTV Video Music Awards airing this Sunday, I wouldn’t be surprised if Em is about to release a new single.

Tonight Eminem‘s official website was updated with the simple black and white image you see above of Marshall flipping the bird. Nothing else appears on the page, but the site’s title has also been updated and it now displays a period after Eminem‘s name. Is this just a little addition to the page’s title, or could this be a hint at something more?

I may just be reaching here, but could the the dark picture of Eminem giving double middle fingers be symbolic and represent that the project is indeed self-titled hence the period after his name in the page’s title? And does the dark image also mean the album will actually be dark?

Eminem released his first piece of new solo music since his last studio album Recovery titled “Survival” last week. The song debuted attached to a new trailer for “Call of Duty: Ghosts“. If the song was any representation of Em‘s upcoming music, I wouldn’t expect the project to be dark, but Em made sure that it was known that Survival WILL NOT appear on his upcoming album. It will however get a visual. The track isn’t bad either way, but it damn sure would be nice to see Eminem go Marshall Mather’s LP dark again.

Eminem is currently performing a few shows overseas with Yelawolf, Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper.

Continue on to check out a photo of Eminem hanging out with Tyler, The Creator who is pictured with a bottle of Heinz barbecue sauce. Could Em and Tyler be hinting about a new song about BBQ SAUCE? Okay, I’m probably reaching again. Ha!
