I've said this before, but when people talk about Em being creative on drugs, I think they're referring to marijuana, etc. and not sleeping pills.

Yeah he was by his own admission using recreational drugs and alcohol during the start of the SSLP. He of course eventually went overboard but he said he took them then as a way to deal with newfound fame and all the craziness going on with his family.

Sometimes when I hear people say something as stupid as he needs to get back on drugs I think they are just trying to be the way Eminem can be when he raps. Some people think they're cool if they act like they think "Slim Shady" would: politically incorrect, rude etc.

He was not 'on drugs' for SSLP-TES.

Sporadically doing pills and acid is NOT 'on drugs'. Doing drugs sporadically, especially shit like LSD, has little-no effect on you, LSD opens your mind up a bit but, nobody "on" drugs aka high or fucked up or addicted can craft anything as skilled as his first three albums.

When he's on drugs - Encore happens.

Drugs like LSD may heighten artistically potential but... overall, all drugs throw almost everything about you off balance. You may come out with the odd brilliant thing but you don't craft ingeniously consistent rhyme schemes and come up with concepts which you execute as thoroughly as "97 Bonnie and Clyde". You should be thankful he's sober, because SOBER Em created the classics.

No he wasn't, you fucking idiot buffoon. When he got on drugs that's when he fucking fell off. Encore? He was completely sober during the SSLP. MMLP he started experimenting, as well as TES. He wasn't "on" fucking drugs until Encore, get the fuck out with that. The drugs fucked up his head, he had to learn how to rap and write again. Shame on people who say he should get back on drugs, I've fucking been there, it's terrible. Weed is one thing but after you start fucking around with others, they really fuck your head up.
