Now, I said Em would make the sequel to the MMLP or at least make something very similar to it. Well, he is officially making the MMLP 2, so I was right about that. But even though I was right about that, I'm not so sure that we're going to get MMLP type content. I hope we do, but that's not the vibe I got from the new single.
If Survival is on MMLP 2, then we have to assume that this album is going to be a 1980's Beasty Boy's type Throwback album. Let's talk about ''Berzerk.'' People are not used to this type of Eminem song. It had a great hook, but very little substance. ''We Made You'' had good lyrics, but weak production. Berzerk sounds more like an old school party hip hop track. And that might be why he offered little substance in his lyrics. I'm just hoping that Eminem isn't about to focus on a 1980's retrospect hip hop album.
But on the contrast, Eminem showed signs of his old voice. At least in my opinion. But it was really strange how he kept switching up his delivery throughout the track. I'm confused now, I don't really know which direction he's going with this. Now if this is a dark album with rock beats, then that would be okay. But lets just hope Em isn't going to make a simple, ''not overcooked'' album that has nothing to do with MMLP.
Remember we have heard, ''I'm not sure how people are going to react to this album'' and ''This album has an element of surprise.'' Let's hope that Em isn't just totally going to left field with this LP. He might still sell well, if the beats are dope. But that's not what we want. At this point, I Can't read Em's mind. He's dying his hair blonde, rapping about Kid Rock. This song definitely had the strangest vibe out of all his singles. It was dope but conversely, it was a bit strange.
