I have been listening to Eminem since the SSLP days. Didnt get involved in the hype for MMLP but loved the crap out of it. When TES was announced I anticipated every single leak. I still remember every day little snippets of songs dripping onto Napster wondering how he could tie songs around them etc. I hyped and went nuts for that album. Since then it has been special for every release waiting and waiting then listening to songs x30 in a row, i know the process of his single dropping, the party singles and the gold left on the album etc.
This album is different. The hype is palpable. He's bigger than ever. He's promising a classic. Ive never liked his party anthems until this one. The single IMHO is an absolute ripper. I know there is more serious stuff to come but this will tide me over. He left me wanting and begging more than ever this year so this moment, the first single having come and gone will not be forgotten.
I just hope in the future I am able to hype for another artist the way I have been able to for Eminem.
Loving this moment.

I read this forum nonstop for about an hour or two last night when berzerk dropped and it was fucking awesome. I made an account just to follow this shit because I know the time leading up to nov 5 and after it drops is gonna be great. I'm really excited for anything em puts out. When you have an artist you listen to all the time its kinda like whatever they put out, even if its not good, you still get hyped for and enjoy it just because its them.

(Also finally finding a community of people who like eminem as much as I do has been a dream for quite some time now :flutter: )

And I want to add one thing.

This thread is from today:
viewtopic.php?f=57&t=163191
and this thread is from 2009, read the title:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59176&p=754784
It always happens the same way. People bitch about the single, others love it etc.

Read this:

Was Without me the best from TES?
Was the real slim shady the best from MMLP?
My point is, Wait till the albums released before giving up

It's a post from the same thread I quoted, from 2009. I swear I read practically the same post earlier today in a thread about Berzerk.
Don't get caught up in what people say, first impressions are almost always fallacious when it comes to music. Wait a few days, and even more, before judging a song, and a few weeks before judging an album.
As I said earlier, appreciate Em for the fact that he's putting out something, and not for what he's putting out.

Peace.

This and the original post are really really great, it's one thing to say this shit always happens (it does) and to tell people to chill out but to actually show how eerily similar it is :worship:

So yeah everyone should ENJOY this, it's gonna be a fun ride!

Everyone just let urself goooooo

Slim Fiasco wrote:Today marks the start of the hype for Em's new album. This is a shit that happens rarely, it's a shit that gains in importance for Em is hiding in a hole for most of the time, and this time most members have experienced it already in the past, but right now have the advantage of being veterans and actually realize how big this is. Or at least I hope so, and yeah it's not really that big in the real world, but fuck a life.

This may or may not be Em's last album, it may or may not be Em's last GREAT album so the last thing you want to do is bitch about it. The new threads, the FIRST TIMES of listening to the next song, to the shit that leaks, to the interviews, to Em being all over your uglyfacebook home pages and walls, the enormous amount of (potential) joy is about to go down.

Again, this shit happens rarely, and in retrospect you'll fucking love it regardless of how you feel about it as it happens. It's like trips or high-school, no matter how bitchy you may get, when it's all said and done you'll focus on the good and you'll wish you had appreciated it more and that there were more good memories of it. With that in mind, you have two choices. You can either jerk off to your Lose Yourself Pt. 16 slash (that stands for "/") I want Em to spit on Jay Z's face and renegade Kendrick on his own song which will be on Em's album fantasies, and end up disappointed; OR, and this is just a thought, you can remain open to surprises and leave space for you to actually love what he has in store for you.

Because remember, if you expect less, chances are you'll get a bigger reward and you liking the new ish will be more likely to occur. And that's something you definitely want for yourself.

Soon enough you'll be living with an ugly wife and eventually die, so be mindful to what's around you now and let go of negative emotions. There's too much bullshit in your little head, clear that space up motherfucker.

Word to the muthafucker! Great post. I 100% agree and thank you for the wake up call :)

Now being seriously, I get your point. I enjoy all the album process, interviews , etc...like a teen...can't wait for the promotion to start.

I'm so busy nowadays that I'm hardly follow the album hype, all I know that I like Berzerk very much. I dont even know other opinions lol. But I agree with Slim Fiasco. Enjoy this time and stop thinking that Eminem will write another Lose Yourself. He is still great artist even though his prime was 10 years ago.

Great post. There are too many people hating on Eminem because he has a changed. I mean, he's been here for almost two decades, of course he will change

I won't, but it would probably be better to avoid this forum entirely until November 5th. All this place builds is hype...

Just try and fill my time with other shit and think about the album as little as possible.
