I'll be honest, I'm not feeling too confident about this album.

That's understandable, but seeing as how he felt the need to name it a sequel to one of his greatest albums tells you there's nothing to worry about. He still has the lyrical capabilities and hopefully the classic production that's soon to come just adds to it. I mean, he's been working on this album for 3+ years, I'm honestly not worried about this release at all.

Well.. I'm quite the opposite. Calling it MMLP2 is the biggest risk of his carreer. And with all the sub-par/average material he has been releasing for the past few years I don't think he can live up to that.

I mean Berzerk is pretty good but is it better than the worst track on MMLP? Nah.. And I'm not expecting something better or as good as his biggest album, but still. I'm scared. lol

We reallly shouldn't be, that's why I think some of us set our expectations low, I think its a pretty safe bet to imply the sequel won't be as good as the original, you can't possibly duplicate a masterpiece like MMLP, but hopefully we get a good album to listen to.

I wait for this album. I want to listen to it. I dont give a fuck if it will match MMLP or not. It wont be worse than Encore and Recovery. Give me the album which is better than Relapse and thats it.

Tbh, who cares. These are all irrelevant when "it's all said and done". It's about the art.

Even so... Em has already solidified his place as one of the GOAT:s. MMLP - the original - is considered a classic. Nothing will change that.

Assuming Em isn't back on heavy-drugs, he should know what he's in for as far as expectations goes. Em isn't naming this album MMLP2 for no reason.

^ I'd say the risk is losing respect from everyone, here and there. Artists, fans, ex-fans. Of course, the sequel won't change the first product but I don't want Em to be seen as someone like Wayne, someone everybody make fun of.

Plus if it's bad, people will say he bleached his hair/called it MMLP2 just to sell a few cd's and that would piss me off because we know Em ain't like that. But hopefully he knows what he has exposed himself to and will deliver.

You know if this album is a classic then Eminem will probably be considered as the best rapper alive. If it's trash he'll just be a great rapper who fell off. Weird.

Yes, the best thing to do is to keep intentionally low expectations. I learned my lesson after Recovery.

My Darling would've been the perfect 2nd track on Relapse. After Dr.West. And then just continue the album normally, maybe throw out Must Be The Ganja.
