Why do you think Em was so secretive (even more than usual) with this album? Why do you think he's been taking his sweet fucking time with it?

This is what's pissing me off, people are already saying it's impossible to be better than MMLP when all we know about the album is that Berzerk is the lead single on it.

Above all else, Em knows how monumental MMLP was/is, so he wouldn't dare make a sequel to it unless he feels it's completely worthy of carrying that name.

Em's about to drop a fucking bomb on everybody.

^I'll be honest, I'm more optimistic about the album now - compared to any previous moment since it was announced that Em was working on a new album.

Well.. I'm quite the opposite. Calling it MMLP2 is the biggest risk of his carreer. And with all the sub-par/average material he has been releasing for the past few years I don't think he can live up to that.

I mean Berzerk is pretty good but is it better than the worst track on MMLP? Nah.. And I'm not expecting something better or as good as his biggest album, but still. I'm scared. lol

Ahem, I'd beg to differ. I'd say it's better than Amityville and maybe just maybe Remember Me. Let the hate commence.

On a different note, I've got Em figured out. Em wants respect over everything else (he's said it multiple times). Since Relapse got shitty reviews and people hated on it, he went the conventional route with a mainstream album that got a lot more respect- although it was lackluster. Now since he's gotten that out of the way he's doing more experimental shit that'll be dope (hopefully).

The thing I've liked most about some of his newer material is that he's getting playful again with his delivery.

Eh.. Em's second verse on Amityville is one of his best, the beat and the hook are crazy and that intro is sick too. His verse on Remember Me is legendary too.

The accents were just pure laziness. It made it easier for him to rhyme and use multis when he probably wasn't capable of writing a coherent song like that otherwise.
