And Encore is seen as worse than it is because it came after 3 classics. Never enough, yellow brick road, like toy soldiers, mosh, mockingbird, all good tracks.

I love how its like blasphemy on here if you praise Recovery and criticize Relapse. When Recovery came out, at first people were like ueah hes back, its dope. Gradually it mounted to its crap and weak now. When Relapse came out, a lot of people called it a major let down. Now Em fans talk about it like its slim shady lp pt 2 or some shit. Thats funny.

Not a big fan of You're never over neither, but I think Em's verse on No Love is GOAT. Best verse on Recovery with the 4th of GTC imo. Rest of the song is garbage though. Beat is aweful.

I like YNO it's really touching.

Yes it is, but I dunno ... It never had any replay value to me. Maybe I should give it another try and listen to it again. I don't dislike the track, and even if it is emotionally powerful, it never grew on me. But it's not a bad song for sure, it's a matter of taste :y:

Encore has good tracks, like Toy soldiers, Spend Some Time for example which were obviously recorded in 2003 with Love you More (which got leaked, but it was initially supposed to be on the album, not a bonus track, so was We as Americans). That forced Em to record in a hurry tracks like Ass Like That or Big Weenie which are terrible. That's why objectively Encore is his worst album, even if there are good tracks, there are some really mediocre ones also.

Relapse on the other hand is a masterpiece on every aspect. I can understand that the accents bother you, but once you get used to it, you realize that they are really well handled and serve the rhyme scheme of the songs. This is genius. Beautiful/Crack a Bottle/Underground are a little bit out of place, but they're great/good also. (it depends for CAB though)

Recovery is full of dope songs too, but it's way more generic. Corny punchlines, overproduced songs, too many average hooks. Some songs really are fantastic though. GTC is one of my favorite Em song of all time for instance.

PS : I'm a Relapse Stan, sue me :D

Where did you get "I hate Relapse" from "I like YNO"? Relapse is my favorite Eminem album. My favorite songs off Relapse go,

1. Underground
2. Deja Vu
3. Insane
4. Stay Wide Awake
5. Old Time's Sake (feat. Dr. Dre)

Eh...

His word play on Relapse wasn't impressive by any means, it just wasn't the focal point.

Fair enough, it still had examples of dope lyricism, but then so did Recovery...
Even then though, the flow on Relapse makes it more replayable than most songs on Recovery for me.

If Recovery had better beats, production, and features, then it'd probably be better than Relapse.

I like that nothing has been said. When the album is out, I'll listen to it. Getting small bits and pieces here and there does nothing.

Delusional hm ? Go to KTT or SL and say that or ask somebody Recovery or Relapse and 90 percent are gonna say it's relapse. I am delusional because I like the accents, wich aren't really accents but more like a flow instead of Em screaming for the sake of it ? I understand if you're angry and you want to express that anger, then, and only then, you should scream .. but Em was screaming just to scream .. THAT is delusional tbh.

Im a big Em fan but the guys on this site really give way for the Stan talk from other hip hop fans.

Recovery went from dope to shit, while Relapse went from weak to dope. Amazing.
