Vintage slim never would have worked with those people. Please Marshall please don't make the same mistakes you made on Recovery. :(

No other rock songs with girls on the hook. I hope Survival won't make the cut.

On the other hand, I want a dark song with Skylar. :flutter:

My hope is that Survival isn't on the album somehow or it's just a bonus track and that the Berserk hook is a good indication of what the album might be but that the Berserk VERSES are NOT.

Remember that time when we used to hope for an Em song featuring a girl? Lol.

Em' fucked things up 'cause he overused the serial killer theme and the accent, then the rap/rock beats, the yelling and the girls on the hook. We say Survivor is not a good song just because we are tired of that sound... now imagine if that song was released right after Relapse?! We would be ranking it as high as we rank his Forever verse (or even higher).

^ I absolutely agree with you.
And I'm sure that after MMLP 2 drops people will look back on Recovery and say it was classic, just like they did with Relapse. We always tend to appreciate what we had, when we have something new and different.

I bet ANYONE would have reacted the same way, in 2009, if someone said what I said, but about Relapse.
There are people on here saying that Relapse is a classic, while it clearly isn't.

I'm not being a hater, but Relapse and Recovery aren't classics... I bumped Recovery for like 2 weeks, and only went back to it for stand out songs like Almost Famous. Same with Relapse. Thing about it is, a classic can be accessed almost any time, and give you that great feeling of inspiration, for years.. MMLP and Eminem Show did this. Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, Things Fall Apart, Moment of Truth, Renaissance ect exemplifies traits of a classic.

Let me explain my post, I feel like I can express better what I meant, now.
I'm not saying Recovery is a classic, or that it will magically become a classic after the next album drops.
I'm just saying that some people will consider it that, and its rank in people's opinions will rise.
And this will happen exactly the same way it happened with Relapse.
People will focus on the flaws of the new album, they will notice how they aren't present on Recovery (it happened with the screaming, yelling etc in the Recovery-Relapse comparison case) and they will pay more attention to the pros of Recovery, hence rating it higher in their personal "Eminem album chart".
That's what happened with Relapse. After people saw he wasn't going to rap with an accent for the rest of his carreer, they started appreciating it, and even missing it, because he dropped it. Same thing happened with the beats. People started appreciating Relapse because of the amazing production, because Recovery's wasn't as good (it's bad actually). But they didn't realize it until Recovery, because since then Em had always had flawless production on his albums. Even on Encore. Hell, even on The Re-Up.

Is it clear? Do you get what I'm trying to say?
I didn't explained myself earlier because I'm on my phone an it takes ages to write. There may be some errors, I'll check it later.

No you were clear, I understood what you meant. And I agree. Still stunned about the amount of people who say Recovery is a terrible album, when, the truth is, it isn't.
