Kid Cudi fans can expect the next installation of his Man on the Moon series...in 2015.
Cudder took to Twitter this week to share that MOTM 3 would drop in two years. "motm 3 2015."
Earlier this year, Cudi dropped his most recent album Indicud. Despite a leak, the album still debuted high on the Billboard 200 at No. 2.
Just prior to that, Cudi parted ways with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music."Everything is peace with everybody on the label. There's never been any issues, but I am announcing that I'm no longer on G.O.O.D. Music," he told LA's Power 106. "And this is something that no one knows, really. I'm no longer on G.O.O.D. Music." Cudi even reached out to Jay-Z on how to leave the collective without offending 'Ye.
"I never wanted to offend him, and I didn't know how he would take it, and I was like, 'Man, I do not want to make my brother mad,' " Cudi said. "I really went out my way to make sure what I was feeling was justified, and that it was OK for me to bring it to the table, and Hov reassured me. He was like, 'Yo, man, I hear it in your tone that it's genuine and everything that you're saying to me, how you're saying it. I know Kanye. I know he'll be receptive to that. I know he'll honor it."
So why the delay with MOTM 3? Cudi is actively working on adding to his acting resume, which may explain why his new album won't be out for some time. Recently, RapFix shared that Cudi will appear in the new comedy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" on Fox. He will appear as Dustin Whitman, an ex-con that actor Andy Samberg thinks robbed a jewelry store. The rapper will appear in the third episode of the police show.
