People have said that about every single album he has made.

It worked with SSLP, MMLP, TES and Relapse. It's 4/6 if you don't count Infinite. It's not that bad

Relapse is not a fucking classic. Good god. It's a good album, Ems never done something 100% worthless. But a classic..............SMFH. People throw that word around way way way too much.

it was good for a first single. Unless you think Just Lose It, We Made You and Not Afraid were better. Only We Made You could be argued to have better rhyming but the entire track was poor.

The first verse was pretty good, though the first few bars were far and away the best part. The second verse started out good, but faltered in the middle. Even though he was clowning and that was his point, it doesn't really come off the way his clowning usually does. The last part about bozos being smart enough to feel stupid was clever and a nice ending to the verse though. The 3rd verse again started out pretty good, faltered in the middle with the car loan part and than the birdman lines, than completely is ruined with the toe jam line.

I think this single falls somewhere between My Name Is, Real Slim Shady, Without Me, and We made You, Just Lose It, D12's My Band (I hate this one more than any lead singles Ems ever been involved with). Overall it's iiiiiiiiight.

Under. I thin leaking situations have been getting a bit better. I remember Recovery leaking like almost 3 weeks prior or something along those lines. But the big name albums have all been about 10 days or so this year it seems. I'm thinking it'll leak like October 25-October 27.

Yeah, I couldn't agree less. I think a great video cemented it as a classic Eminem single.

No way man. This song isn't a classic first single like My Name Is, Real Slim Shady, or Without Me. Those songs were huge and a lot better put together. This one isn't nearly as good as those, and not nearly as bad as Just Lose It, We Made You, or My Band type stuff.

I also don't see Berzerk lasting too long on the charts or getting too big. I think it'll be similar to We made You success wise, it'll chart high initially, stay on there for a few weeks probably, than fall off.

People are kidding if they think this album will do Recovery numbers. 740,000 is really like 1.5 million in the year 2000. And 4 million overall is like 8 million back then. Recovery was a flawed album, still good overall, but had huge huge hits in Love the Way You Lie and Not Afraid which contributed to the album doing as well as it did. It was probably his most successful album aside from MMLP and TES, if you take into account it came out in 2010, not the early 00's.

I really just want a dope album. Hopefully Em proves me wrong and can do what Scorsese did with The Departed, make another classic after so many years of not having a true classic. If Berzerk is all we get as far as singles go, I think this album will sell around 650-675K first week.

Man this word classic has lost its meaning. Very few artists have ever put out a classic in their entire careers and fewer still have put out 2 classics. There are only 2 generally accepted classic albums- MMLP and TES. Even the SSLP while being a dope ass major label debut album isn't a classic. Does Em have what it takes to make another classic- I don't know, it's definitely possible. The best signs that this will be a classic are the ones from the interview. He had his characteristic serious jokes such as "looking forward to nothing". Also I don't know if anyone has noticed, but on the berzerk video, there are many clips that are played backwards which likely signifies that he went back to the early days of rap for this song; however, it's very possible that this also means that Em is going back to his MMLP mindset (subliminal messaging!?).
I walk around like a space cadet, place your bets
Who's likely to become a serial killer? Case of tourettes
Fuck, fuck, fuck! Can't take the stress
I make a mess as the day progresses
Angry and take it out on the neighbors hedges like this is how I'll cut
Your face up bitches with these hedge trimming scissors with razor edges
Imagination's dangerous, it's the only way to escape this mess
And make the best of this situation, I guess
