it is just like he said in Be Careful What You Wish For, only the relapse part is missing. Maybe he will come with a verse about how dope relapse actually was on the mmlp2, would be dope though :8)

I liked Relapse also but it certainly doesn't feel like a classic to me. Maybe in a few years but it's way too soon for that.

Still it's one of Em's most underrated albums to date. Can't believe there's people out there who think Recovery is better then Relapse, or even a good album at all. :facepalm

And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Well i think its because of the reason that recovery is more pop than hip hop, so yea the majority goes for recovery, especially with the collab with rihanna. LTWYL was a hit. but yea relapse is hip hop recovery aint, so yea i go for relapse

Look, I get why someone would pick Recovery over Relapse. But I wouldn't. I think Relapse is his third best album after MMLP and TES.

The thing that happened with Relapse is a lot of people listened to it one time and decided it wasn't good enough. We have gone through the album 100's of times more than likely, so we know and understand Relapse. Many fans heard it and was like "fuck this" then they liked Recovery because he "sounded normal."

I don't understand why this album is so worshiped here. Lyrically? The lyrics are either nothing special or hot garbage, besides Deja Vu and My Mom. Stay Wide Awake is a beyond overrated track, just because it has good rhyming and flow. The lyrics are bland and forgettable and even...kind of bad at times, especially when Em says such awful lines just to get his rhyming scheme (the panties and Jabba the Hut lines, for example). Insane, We Made You, Medicine Ball, Old Time's Sake, Crack a Bottle, and Underground are all complete garbage and beyond saving. And don't give me that "IT HAS GEWD FLOW AND RHYMING YO" argument, lyrics matter much more than the flow or rhyming.

Opinion, opinion, opinion. It matters what you look for in music. If you don't care for emotionalzzz or feelzzz then Relapse is your album. I don't care about relating to music anymore, I care about enjoying the music, escaping to other worlds, and that's what Relapse does. He sucks us up into his fucked up mind and people don't realize it. Lyrically, are you serious, lyrically Relapse is fucking bonkers crazy. Now, if you mean substance, it didn't have a lot but it had much more substance than people seem to give it credit for. Listen to it as much as I have and you'll hear what I mean. Sit down, read the lyrics, then consider who is rapping those lyrics.

Relapse isn't a classic, and never will be. Yes, it is absolutely fantastic, and I have a feeling Things-Get-Worse might just be another youtube Recovery stan invading TR (What the fuck are the mods doing, eating their toenails?) but it just isn't a classic. Beautiful and Underground alone make me go "nope". Then we have filler like Old Time's Sake.
