With that cover...man, you thought calling it MMLP2 set the bar really high? The album cover just multiplies it by ten. It makes us older Em fans remember what it was like first opening the original MMLP and hearing classic song after classic song...

This has to be a great album, or lots of people are going to be upset. Fans enjoyed Relapse and Recovery for what they were, good post-prime Eminem albums. This is going to bring back classic Eminem. Just like the original, he had to record a radio friendly song at the end because nothing else was mainstream friendly. I am hyped.

Okay, it's official. Survival is one of my favorite Eminem songs of all time. All time.
It gives that same feeling of barely repressed energy that I get from Lose Yourself, like I consciously have to stop myself from sprinting, or stopping a moving truck with my bare hands.
There's also a nice contrast between the very palpable sense of desperation and sheer hunger to succeed on Lose Yourself and the more laid back, yet almost equally as aggressive I've-already-made-it-but -Imma-keep-going-till-im-G.O.A.T feeling of Survival.
Simply put, Survival is Lose Yourself for those who are already successful, but are still very hungry for more.
Simple, to the point chorus, anthemic as ever living fuck production, and a third verse that makes me want to slap grizzly bears.
10/10.
