I think we'd all be amazed...

I don't think Berzerk was made to "stomp" TRSS. TRSS was a rushed song made to be a radio friendly, piss people off type song. He has had over 3 years to make this album, it was not rushed. He made Berzerk as a homage song. I think we are off to a great start.

But I think he has a good chance to stomp MMLP. Even if he doesn't I'm expecting to get an album inbetween TES and MMLP.

You're deluding yourself. A good chance to stomp MMLP? Are you for real?

That makes it even worse...

As you say - TRSS was rushed and made for the wrong reasons, yet it's classic; musically and lyrically, it's a classic hip-hop song... "Berzerk" has good and bad elements but, let's all be honest here... generally speaking it's forgettable noise... doesn't sound like the lead-off to a classic to me.

Sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.

The only reason I say we are off to a great start is because I really like Berzerk, I do agree that it has bad and good elements, and you're right about TRSS being a classic. But he really sounds hungry again and is back in real Eminem/Slim Shady mode. Saying it might stomp MMLP may be exaggerating but I think it will for sure be on par with TES.

Also, TRSS was a rushed song. It's one of my favourites but It was label pressure because they didn't have a lead off radio friendly single yet. That's when The Way I Am was born. I read it in one of his books.

So you could say The Way I Am is rushed then.. Still a classic.

No way will this album touch his holy trinity.

So are you guys expecting it to even be on par with The Eminem Show or inbetween? I think being that we haven't even heard the 1st serious single yet, this has a fair chance of touching MMLP. I just don't know why he would name it part 2 of a legendary album if he didn't think it was on par or atleast better than TES because he set the bar so high.

Better than his last 3. You guys are just setting yourselves up for a disappointment if you think it's gonna be on par with any of his first 3 albums.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

Why did you like the Berzerk snippet so much and not the song?

We've heard only one song and one bonus song. It could. I'm not saying that it will, it probably won't, but there is always a chance. Eminem hasn't made that "perfect album" yet, why wouldn't he strive for it? It's this mentality that will truly ruin the album for people.

I see people now. "Wow, this isn't as good as MMLP" when you guys should just listen to the music and judge it on its own and not stacked up against MMLP. It will be hard, but I swear, you guys will NEVER enjoy the music if you can't move on from the past. You just can't.

On the topic of Berzerk, Berzerk is technically a better song to me. I've listened to it a whole lot.

I hope he can top MMLP 2. But the problem is nobody would ever admit it, (Just admit it!!) if it did happen. In some people's minds, there is no such thing as better than MMLP, no matter what the case is.

Hey. I did predict Eminem was making a MMLP2 long ago. Nobody believed it. Now I'm predicting NUMERO UNO album.

And that's people's problem. If they would get that stupid shit out of their minds then they will probably enjoy the music. He could literally top it, every song is a classic, and people still would find fault. Fuck that. I'm gonna listen and enjoy, not even make comparisons to its predecessor.

Some people won't even listen to the album at all and will just say they only want Old Shady, no matter how old school this album feels. I'm more and more convinced now that MMLP2 will be very much like its predecessor. The blonde hair, the middle finger, the nearly identical album cover, just everything.

I don't think you get it.
The worst songs on the MMLP are already better than the two Eminem has released recently.

If you want people to stop making comparisons, by all means phone Interscope and ask them the change the album name.
The whole concept of this release promotes comparison. It is unavoidable. So you are living in a Stan'd dream world if you think the comparisons will end.

Honestly it makes no fucking sense for an artist of Eminem 's longevity to put out a sequel to his most controversial album with a radio friendly song.
If this is a spiritual successor he should make it straight hip hop and cut the pop track like he wanted to do with the original MMLP. For this reason alone it is clear Interscope are still tugging the strings, and thus pretty obvious it wasn't a genuine desire of Eminem's to dye his hair blonde again.

People really need to shut the fuck up with saying I can feel it being a classic". Just wait and see. :facepalm

It may not be what we want."
