Kanye is nowhere near average. Besides, it's a Complex "greatest" list. I'd be surprised if Kanye WASN'T number 1. Seriously though, Nicki doesn't deserve to be anywhere near that list. Drake should be much lower.

Kanye is a great artist. He's only a good rapper though. Not that great, and most certainly not better than Eminem LOL at this list. I like Kanye but I can admit he's not that great a rapper. And they put him at number 1?! Why? Because of his overrated as fuck Yeezus album? Yeezus is okay but not great.

Kanye in #1? I agree. Man just released 808 and fucking MBDTF in the last 5 years. WTT is algo great. Yeezus is average but that doesn't take him from the spot.

Kanye is a fantastic artist and a good rapper when he's really fucking trying. I'm guessing they put Kanye up there because:

A) His quick rise to superstardom, cosigns from legends (Jay-Z), and his own rather-successful record label (well, not so successful atm, but was at least)

B) MBDTF was fucking awesome

C) Because Complex can't get enough of that Kanye weiner.

And the fact that Kendrick isn't in the top three pisses me off immensely. If we go by skill alone, I'd put him at the top, no doubt.
