I miss Ken Kaniff

Em aged and I don't think that after comeback he would create another alter-ego. Just.. doesn't make sense to me

Here's a theory..

SSLP was a Slim Shady album. MMLP was a Marshall Mathers album. TES was an Eminem album.
Those three albums were introductions of all three of his personalities.

Encore might have been the one with a new alter ego, I call him "Whack". This is a destructive personality created by drugs to try and ruin Eminem's career.

Relapse was a Slim Shady album and a sequel to SSLP. Recovery was an Eminem album and a sequel to TES. The reason that those albums sound different than the original albums is because the alter egos matured and evolved. The reason that the albums weren't called SSLP2 and TES2 was because each of the personalities think differently. Slim Shady went one way and Eminem went in another direction. Marshall Mathers is going the route of doing a DIRECT sequel, MMLP2. You kind of have to think of them as three different people. That's why Eminem can get away with dissing his previous album, because it's really just one alter ego insulting another alter ego.

That's why I really liked the idea of a song that someone on here floated around with all three of Em's personalities on one song, one verse per ego.

All of Em's albums have all of his personalities on them, it's just that each album, one ego is stronger than the others.

Just something fun to think about :wave:

Shady is a metaphor, not a character.

If people thought of it as a reference point for evil they'd have a much easier time.

The writing and thoughts on Relapse are unique. Darker, more eloquent, more blatantly psychopathic without wanting you to 2nd-guess his intention, more sinister and gleeful in the psychopathy... it's a brilliant portrayal of a style and of various psychologies... the writing is superb.

I agree, but I think that making it clearer for people to realize it would only do good to the way Relapse was received

A little off topic tho, I don't get why Old Time's Sake get so much hate. That verse is funny as hell!
