It isn't down to personal preference. Your point is redundant.

It is about the IMPACT.

My Name is reached classic status. We Made You hasn't touched it.

nope.

no album with insane, we made you, medicine ball, old time's sake, crack a bottle, and underground can be better than sslp. plus some of the mindbendingly bad lyrics in the unmentioned songs (JABBA THE HUTT BEDDY BYE BYE) , it's just not possible.

Medicine Ball is a top Relapse track doe.

We Made You is a nice single too, the rapping, and production... all of it in-fact, are nice as hell.

It's only the video which lets it down.

No argument about Underground and Crack a Bottle though. Beautiful too.

But, I disagree... it can be... at the time - tracks like My Fault and My Name Is were the We Made You's (I'd listen to We Made You over My Name Is any day though... rapping is way more enjoyable) of the album... they only become classic in retrospect, with nostalgia.

In reality, all his albums have tracks which waver in quality - the only important thing which makes them stand the test of time in the context of the album, is whether they fit, sound-wise.

Medicine Ball and We Made You are totally of the world/consistent with that sound; don't degrade the album at all. Medicine Ball first verse and hook too >>>

enlighten me as to why medicine ball is good, besides "dope flow and rhyming yo!!" because to me, it sounds pretty pathetic. it just sounds like eminem trying far too hard to make you get offended like in 1999, with lyrics where he randomly acts like everyone's against him ("I NEVER MEANT FOR THIS RHYME TO BE SO OFFENSIVE/CHRIST YOUR SO SENSITIVE!"), plainly pathetic celebrity disses ("I PEE ON RHIANNA SEE I DO WHAT I WANNA"), and the Christopher Reeves thing.

nah, it flows kinda well, and it sounds tight, but the idea in general is forced and pretty stupid.

So, impact is what makes a song better than another? Just Lose It and Ass Like That had a bigger impact than We Made You and Berzerk. Not Afraid and Love The Way You Lie had bigger impacts. Does that make them better songs? Hell fucking no it doesn't. You're basically saying if it's not a huge hit then the song sucks. Wow.

We Made You and Berzerk are MUCH better songs than My Name Is. I'm sorry. Quit putting old Em on a pedestal. If you don't garner the "old Em bias" then you can clearly see that My Name Is isn't that fucking good. I would much rather listen to Berzerk or WMY than My Name Is. Sorr.

Actually, I'm not sorry, because your argument is shit.

No, it's not. Just because it's old Em does not make it better, I'm sorry people.

Let's just say that music is SUBJECTIVE and that is a proper argument. You can make arguments all day for which song is better. Because it's opinions. Impact does not make a song better, however.

That IS NOT what I said. Stop reaching

I said My Name is reached classic status. You can't even deny that. So your shit stain of a post was wasted.

My Name Is is ten times better anyway. To even make a track like that at the time, as a white rapper, and pierce the mainstream in such a violent way is crazy, and only made crazier by how good the track is.
