I was watching the interview with Kimmel from 2009 yesterday and Jimmy asked him what he thought about Relapse's reviews and he answered something like: I don't care, if my fans are happy then I'm happy too.

So then fans started complaining about his account, so he came out with Recovery and after Recovery fans want the old Em to come back, so now he's coming back with MMLP2...

He really does what his fans want to.

I wouldn't be surprise if he started dissing Recovery because you know the moment at his concert when Porter ask fans if they got Em's albums and when he says Recovary, so Em starts doing No Love song, and during the song Em's always said: I say Wayne, you said Weezy but lately he's been doing this "you say NO" like you don't have Recovery instead of the shout out to Wayne... So maybe it means he'll start dissing Recovery... Although I know it's probably bullshit.

Of course he cares about the fans. That's why he bleached his hair. To be more desirable to the fans. That's why he dropped radio friendly first singles. I think that desire for approval has hurt his career, but I can't fault him for it too much because everyone wants to be liked even though it's the cool thing to pretend like you don't.

Thankfully it hadn't effected his music too much in a negative way and of course everything he has done for the fans can be debated cause we don't really know his intensions.

trouble is though he has a diverse range of fans who all want different things from him.

some want an album full of beautiful / going through changes type of stuff while others want stay wide awake / cold wind blows

should just do what he always claimed he used to. make songs for himself and whoever likes it likes it

Fuck the past, mothafucka, he's the shit right now

It's just for an icon like him to comeback and get left out of literally everything is a big issue. He's not an underground rapper who can be proud of effort even if the majority thought it was wack.

Wheres relapse 2 then? the thing is I think we take his music for granted. He is a reactionary artist and that makes him surprisingly unique, Every single album he's made has been a reaction to something
sslp- reaction to being poor and feeling like a joke his whole life
mmlp- reaction to the retarded criticism he was getting
tes- a reaction to EVERYTHING that had happend since he got famous
encore- reaction to his depression and not topping the hype he got
relapse- reaction to drugs
