btw some people already have the game. a couple stores broke the release date and gave some out early. those who have it are leaking pics and such so if you just HAVE to see as much as you can (like myself) it's out there. easiest way, i'd say, is reddit under the Pokemon sub.

Soon they'll run out of "versions." Now they've started doing letters lol. I hear all over the internet that this one is supposed to be different. Hell, even Black 2, the one I'm working on now, is really different in a lot of ways. Gameplay is same old same old sure but they add a lot of innovations imo.

i agree. it's the same but different.

this is especially true for X and Y. as Kill You said it's mostly the same as far as mechanics go. But they've done a good job making you "feel" like it's new and fresh. when White and Black came out I had the feeling of "sigh... I have to do it all over again." With X and Y I really feel like I'm experiencing something new.

honestly, though, the large majority of games in a series don't switch up gameplay, just tweaks. most of your gameplay innovations come from a new series. the most drastic change mid series i've seen would be mass effect 2 and dragon age 2. a lot of people hated dragon age 2 because of it.

i just want them to bring the mechanic back where your pokemon would lose hp when poisoned outta battle. It made for better planning and strategy
