Careful What You Wish For would've been a great opener for Recovery with the news stories at the start IMO.

My Darling would've fitted well into this album as an opener as the signs are it'll be very dark. I would really like the MMLP2 to pick up where that left off though with the demon voice getting him to dye his hair again etc.

I quite like Evil Deeds too, was one of the better tracks from Encore.

Yeah that and Kill You can go either way, love both of those tracks a lot. I'm hoping for something that can be on that level.

Judging on 2012/2013 material i have to be skeptical, if its classic he has been playing possum with some of the features he released. Im definitely curious of the content of the album for it to warrant the MMLP2 name

Having Berzerk at 1st, 2nd, 13th or 20th will make no difference to anything.

What a load of shit.

Albums are like songs in themselves; like a book with chapters; like a 20-part film. They may tell a story or run an overall theme, but they are made to be listened to in a certain order. MBDTF follows an allegorical tale of Kanye West's issues with fame and their relative effect on his relationships. If Dark Fantasy came last and Lost in the World was first the album would fall flat. It would be a meaningless collection of songs.

The same is true for Em's albums. Whilst Eminem has never made his albums as cohesive as Dre or Kanye's, he has worked hard on establishing a rhythmic order.

In short, having Berzerk first or last will have a major effect on the albums reception. An opener is meant to grab the listener and offer an idea of how the album will sound. Berzerk highlights that Eminem is going back to hip-hop's routes, but it would be a petty awful opener in my opinion. It doesn't have the lyrical skills to show that Eminem is once again at the top of his game. Em needs an opener that shows he has not fallen off and can hold his own both skillfully and artistically against current rappers like Kendrick, J Cole, Kanye; heck even Drake if we are to really focus on an album's composition. And note that I said artistically. I don't just want a collection of good rap songs. I want an album that forces me to listen to it through and through time and time again, because all too often with Em albums I find myself deleting the skits from any playlists I make, and playing the album on shuffle. I NEVER do this with MBDTF, Yeezus, 2001 et al. (even regarding Yeezus, I prefer the album as a concept to the tracks proper).
"Oh, he'll give us what we need.
It may not be what we want."

All his albums start off great. I like the least Encore and Recovery first songs but they are very good as well. I really hope Berzerk is not the opener for MMLP2. I like it, but it's comparable only to Evil Deeds and CWB. My Name Is, Kill You, White America, 3 am>>>>>>>>>>>

Tbh I've been thinking I'll be a tiny bit disappointed if we don't get a PSA. It won't matter that much either way but I'd like it. Same with Ken. I want Ken to come back even though I'm sure a lot of you would disagree.

No, I totally want a Ken Kaniff skit.

I love all his opening songs. I think "My Darling" should have followed the Dr. West skit on Relapse though. Also, I think Cold Wind Blows is an excellent opener.

So we should hopefully get the tracklist this week :smoking:

And I don't know how I would feel if the second single includes Jay and 50. I love Jay-Z so I would really like a collar with him but I wan't the second single to be just Em.
