RapRadar said it was on the album (not an official single, but on the album). And I think Paul did too. If it's just a bonus cut or just for COD... that's coo'...

I have a feeling Em intentionally used this as an opportunity to make a safer more surefire hit (with that hook and production) which he WOULDN'T have to include on and therefore sacrifice the album... due to the fact "Berzerk" is pretty experimental / odd, despite being catchy...

If that's the case, that's coo' as fug. Just hope it ain't on the main tracklist.

Why don't you want it on the main tracklist?

Strikes me as the type of song you would enjoy bearing in mind what you've said in the past about Almost Famous, My Life and Above The Law.

Lyrically the song is very poor, and extremely cliche', also MMLP2 is supposed to be a revisit to MMLP, Surivial wouldn't be on MMLP.

Neither would Bezerk.

I couldn't disagree more and I don't even know where to begin. One of my favourite gym songs ever.

Lose Yourself could be considered a cliche but it's still the best song ever made.

Are you talking about Survival? I wouldn't say it was poor lyrically.

I think people think MMLP2 is going to reflect MMLP1 since it's a "revisit" and Survival and Berzerk doesn't sound anything like what he would have put on MMLP1 (even though Survival was made spefically for COD so I don't know why people are linking it to what MMLP2 would sound like. If it is on the album, it's only as a tie-in to attract COD fans.)

Personally I think people will be disappointed regardless because they're building it up to big especially with Em linking it MMLP. You can't recapture what was on that album because a lot of it was about timing. It was stuff we never heard before therefore new and exciting.

The thing is everybody is acting like, since this is a sequel to the MMLP, it'll sound exactly the same. We don't know why he called it that. Maybe he's just back on that state of mind and he wanted to do a sequel.
We can't say Berzerk doesn't fit on there, when it's the only song we actually heard.

He can't just go over the same old shit because nearly everything he talked about on that album was related to his life at that time or the world at that time. It was social commentary on a lot of songs. And purely because he made that album like 12 years ago, it's out of date.

It's got to be a revisit to the MMLP stylistically and I'm sure he's hoping that the Hip Hop community at large will value it as a good album unlike Relapse and Recovery which are mostly denounced as 1. weird and 2. Pop Music.

I like Berzerk more than Survival and I dislike Berzerk.

Everything about Survival seemed forced. The wordplay is borderline cringe worthy. His flow sounded forced as hell. Like he wasnt having fun recording it and just did it because he knew about the CoD deal. He was putting emphasis on syllables on words for no reason (Screwdriv-ERS) (I'm not a a rapper. I'm a adapter I can adJUST). The beat does not match Em flow at all. There's some rappers/producers that doesn't sound good together. DJ Khalil and Em do not sound organic.

Just my opinion.

I can see this album being quite closely related to Relapse in some ways. It's clearly going to be a much darker album than Recovery, it's just intriguing to hear what the primary subject matter will be.
