In all honesty though, I love Yela and Slaughterhouse..... but I don't blame all of their short comings on Shady. I just think it's the type of artists that they are.... they just don't appeal to many people :kanyeshrug:

That, and Shady Rec's Promo team doesn't seem like they're quite on the ball. Cause Yela could appeal to a lot of people, I remember back when he got signed, the radios would play Daddy's Lambo all the time and girls used to go crazy over that shit. I know a girl who's a Yela stan too, so he can appeal, it's the promo team's fault. There's a huge difference between Aftermath's promo (Look at the Kendrick treatment) and Shady's. Next artist who signs to Shady NEEDS to have their own promo team as well as Shady's but is also someone people can connect to.

How would that make any sense whatsoever? J. Cole is nothing like any artist on Shady. Plus he's already doing great on Roc Nation so moving to the garbage can full of mediocre artists putting out mediocre albums would not help his career at all.

All he's done on Roc is drop mediocre albums so it doesn't really matter. Cole sucks.

Both albums went gold. Cole is doing well for himself. Also, Born Sinner is a good album and would have been great if it didn't have a couple bad songs holding it back.

Agreed. One of them is an interesting and unique rapper with interesting concepts, versatility, melodies and the other one is Cole.

Oh no...what IF he signed to Shady and him and Budden did a record together?

Aw man that'd be terrible, don't want Cole to ruin a Budden track.

wat lol Friday Night Lights is a classic and Yelawolf could never come close to creating something as spectacular as that. Yelawolf is a rapper, J. Cole was an amazing artist in his prime putting out some of the best music of the last 10 years.

I don't get it when people say Yelawolf is just a rapper. He's not like the Slaughterhouse guys at all, have you ever listened to him? He's more like Outkast. Most of the times, he's all about making songs not just spitting bars.

Of course Friday Night Lights is dope but Arena Rap is an amazing EP and TMR is too. I'm not sure you've ever heard Yelawolf outside of the Ed Sheeran EP because he's far, far, far from the kind of rapper you think he is.

I've never heard anything better than average from Yelawolf. Yeah he can have some concepts but their mostly extremely simple. I've never heard him get creative or deep with his thoughts. You can leave me a couple songs that you think show why Yelawolf is good and I'll try and listen to them when I have time and get back to you but Yelawolf is just so average and boring. J. Cole is one of the most well rounded rappers out right now putting out great mainstream songs (Power Trip) great substance songs (Runaway) and just straight murder beats (Niggas Know) plus he's producing all his shit as well. Like I said, theres no way in hell Yelawolf is putting out something as good as Friday Night Lights or even The Warm Up.
