Personally, if this MMLP2, reached the MMLP expectations, it would make no sense, and I'd actually be mad if people thought it did.

How is a guy who came out with an album during a time where he was nobody, poor as fuck, and trying to make a name for himself going to have an album in the same caliber when he's rich, and has gotten everything he's ever wanted.???

Um, so you're saying just because he's rich now he can't put out an album as well put together as the MMLP. That's bullshit and you know it. He still has the talent to be great, but it seems like he's been holding himself back with his recent albums. This is especially obvious when you watch his latest freestyles. He used to put out those levels of rhymes into his songs, but nowadays he goes for a more mainstream approach to his tracks and holds back a bit on his rhyming. I just wish he'd loosen up for once and just tear tracks up again which I thought he was going to with this new album. Evidently he's not.

I get exactly what you're saying.

BUT people are getting "as high" of expectations this go around, and with good reason. The name, and the album artwork.

My expectations are high for those two reasons, I expect him to re-visit the MMLP era just like he said. (re-visit as in bring back his drive, his real anger for whatever he may be angry about today, his effortless flow and delivery over the beat, along with his writing and rhyming style.)

I'm all aboard the bandwagon about Survival NOT even being close to qualified to on the original tracklist. He is absolutely talking about nothing (i know cod hype song blah blah) and the delivery along with a select few corny ass lines really blow. We all know he can rap in a similar style that he used to, and thats what were hoping for. With some new and exciting content and recent events. :smoking:

This is only my 7th post, and I haven't voiced my opinion on Survival yet. So no need for bashing as I know a few of you dig it.

Yeah don't see how Survival is anything other than excellent in terms of rhyming. He finishes each line with a four syllable rhyme for the entire second verse, bar the first few bars. And fits the same four syllable rhyme multiple times internally.

Cause Survival is average. Nobody wants to see Eminem rap to a video game. Give me a despicable freestyle or mix tape. I'm pretty sure this isn't em's idea. More like the stupid record label telling him what to do. If this dude laid a mixtape to other peoples beats like despicable, he would rip it and get the hype going.

Dude the first two lines "Wasn't ready to be a millionaire, I was ill prepared. I was prepared the be ill though the skill was there" are the only lines he is REALLY saying something. The rest is all about how hes the best, hes never quitting, hes back again, etc etc.

I admit I shouldn't have used "isnt saying anything" in my post because it is a cod hype type of song, if he was actually talking about something then it wouldn't even work with cod..anyways, i like the song for what it is and that is all.
