Personally, I don't think Survival is better than most tracks on Recovery.

Cold Wind Blows, On Fire, Going Through Changes, Seduction, Space Bound, Session One, Ridaz, Almost Famous, Untitled, So Bad > Survival

It sounds too much like Won't Back Down with the cliche chorus and a few corny lines, and what not. But I didn't even mind it so bad on Won't Back Down because it was the first time really hearing him yell big time, like AHHHHHHHH IN YO FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yelling, so I didn't mind it. But then when it's supposed to be return to MMLP type of Eminem, he comes with basically another whack beat, cliche girl chorus, some good lines but some forced ones, and though it's not as loud as WBD yelling, he is still shouting at several points in Survival.

If this song is on MMLP2, than it doesn't bode well for the album IMHO. If I see Survival on the final tracklist, my expectations will drop BIG TIME. Although my expectations for Recovery weren't too great either after Not Afraid, cliche chorus, weak beat, some good lines but some weak ones, and than Won't Back Down. I thought Recovery was going to suck really bad. Thank god he had some good shit on there still.

Basically, I'm just saying I don't see the praise for Survival, which possesses a weak beat, cliche girl chorus, some forced lines, several moments of over aggression.......and than the hate for ecovery because of the weak beats, over aggression, cliche girl chorus.

not it def sounds like recovery. its a good ass song but recovery style hands down. which is weird only because berzerk is a style like none of his albums imo. i assume it was a leftover or a song he did right after recovery. if its on the album it should be a bonus track.

no i dont. i mean its somewhat different, but the style, having someone else on the hook, and the lyrics with his wordplay just reminded me exactly of recovery from the first time i heard it.
