Has this been confirmed officially?

I don't even know anymore. Some people are saying it's a bonus track and some sites are saying it's on the regular album. Just wait for the tracklist to get an official confirmation.

The reason I think it is on the official album is the video. There's clearly MMLP2 references in the video with the house and everything at the end, if it was just a bonus to be included with the COD version, I doubt they would have had the video have MMLP2 references in it.

My hype for the album is wayyyyyyyyyyyy down if Survival is on the official album. Like what the fuck is Em thinking??? Leaving Ridaz and Session One off Recovery officially pissed me off in 2010, now including Survival on MMLP2 officially. He's not making very good decision in that regard as of late.

Wtf? It's actually a good decision that he didn't include Ridaz and Session One on Recovery, because they just don't fit the vibe of the album.

And nobody says Survival is on TMMLP2 regular version neither. You must be on sth.

Ridaz and Session One could very easily have been included on Recovery.

Take out 25 to Life and Won't Back Down/You're Never Over, use those and bonus tracks, add Ridaz and Session One. Album is even a lot better after that IMO.

No, 25 To Life & YNO definitely fit better than Ridaz and Session One.

It just seems like THIS is the second single. If Berzerk and Survival are anything to go on as far as the album quality....we're in trouble. 2 rock beats, one with a cliche chorus and a whack beat, another which is average at best and is all over the place.

Not to mention both sound like Em doesn't really have much to rap about anymore. I'm worried, I'm very worried.

Recovery ain't even that bad. Cold Wind Blows, On Fire, Going Through Changes, Seduction, Space Bound, Ridaz, Session One, So Bad, Almost Famous, Untitled are all better than Berzerk and Survival.

At least on Recovery, I felt Em had something to say and something to rap about. I don't know if he has ANYTHING to say anymore, and these two new songs kind of scare me as a fan.

The album could have anywhere from 14-16 songs most likely, and here's already 2 that are going to be easily to skip over and over.

Oh, that's you again :D Berzerk is GREAT and Survival won't be on the album. So, do you still live?

I agree with what you said about Recovery not being that bad. Get's trashed more than it deserves to on here.

Don't agree with your concerns about this new album. Everything is pointing towards something amazing for me, even if the first two songs we've heard are just average.

Berzerk is designed specifically to be the catchy single, and was one of the last songs made for the album. Survival was changed both lyrically and in terms of the beat to meet the marketing needs of Activision.

Those things are nothing in comparison to all the positive things we've heard about the album - Em saying it's revisiting the MMLP era, Dre and Rubin producing, Royce saying new age fans will be shocked by it's content, the album art etc.

Relapse was a conceptual experiment by Em that was hated by a lot of people, but was amazing in terms of lyrics, flow, storytelling and production, which is what he set out to do. Recovery was an attempt to put him back on the map commercially after Relapse struggled by Eminem definitions, and it's safe to say he did that in spades. He hasn't yet failed at what he's set out to do.

This time round, if he's attempting to revisit the MMLP era, then you can be pretty fucking sure he'll nail it. We have no reason from any of his albums (except Encore) to expect otherwise.

Personally I don't think it makes sense from a business perspective to include Survival on there as it would fuck up the COD deal somewhat. Unless there is another exclusive COD track which is a bonus then I'm almost certain it won't be on there.

Recovery does indeed suck. Almost Famous is Em status.. ALMOST everything else is whinny or low par for Em... I mean I work at Panera Bread and this one 20 year old girl plays the shit out of Recovery songs... and Encore songs.. go figure ...
