TBH, The Eminem Show was his first album with songs that you could consider below average (Drips is bad, and Say What You Say is fucking horseshit).

This if you don't consider Under the Influence less than great.

It was the worst on the album, but by worst, it's a 7/10 out of a album that is nearly all 9/10s and 10/10s. It's mediocre.

The Eminem Show is my favorite Eminem album.

I consider that to be his masterpiece.

IMO:

Classics - SSLP, MMLP and TES
Great - Relapse
Mediocre - Encore
Mediocre - Recovery

Encore being a bit less mediocre than Recovery.

It's hard for me to pick top three . MMLP and SSLP are definitely the top 2 but I can't decide whether Relapse or TES is the 3rd classic. I love them both but I kinda think that Relapse is, TES in top 3 is kinda a cliché opinion that everyone has even though it's accurate at times. and I don't usually have the same opinion as everyone else.

So imo, his classics are MMLP, SSLP, and Relapse. :sweating:
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again?
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line

So far there are what at least 7 singers and 5 different producers so far? Sounds like another Recovery clusterfuck. Lady Gaga has more hip hop artists on her album than Em does. :shakehead:

yeah I think Em has 1 legit classic but TES and SSLP are often praised as classic because of how timeless they are. They're getting the Reasonable Doubt treatment. It was only considered as a 4/5 album but people still talk about it 10 years later, People even talk about section 80 and Take Care as potential classics because they sound timeless and unique, because they might push the genre to such a great extent that it creates a new subgenre.

Now, who praise Recovery outside of a few Eminem fans ? who praise Encore outside of Trshady ? An album like The Documentary played an important role for the west coast in the 2000's, what did recovery do for Hip hop ? if you ask me, a classic is more than an album you can enjoy, it has to bring something to the genre.

some of the most cohesive albums were produced by different producers tbh

Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor
Nas - Illmatic
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid Maad City

Seven singers? Last I heard there was only five and we don't even know how they're being utilized. Relax, GKMC had several producers and it was cohesive as fuck, Em's been out of the game for three years and no album has sounded the same both musically and vocally.

It increases by a singer each time someone says this.
