How would you guys feel if The Monster was about

the Sandy Hook shooting?

Not a sympathy rap but more of a rap from the perspective of the shooter

Imagery describing how he murdered innocent little kids...

Tragic portrait of an artist tortured
Trapped in his own drawings

But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollas
After the track is demolished
I am your lack of a conscience

I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow

"Tacky" lol Eminem's career consists of shooting innocent bystanders and strangling wives.

I question how many of you are fans of his earlier career...most of you must have started during the Recovery era...

If he can make Kim ,a song where he's brutally murdering his wife, then why can't he make a song where he's the Sandy Hook shooter?

If he really wants to gain controversy and publicity once more this is the exact route he should take.

In the thread about Em being called a homophobe you all praised him for being controversial once more but then this idea pops up and you call it "tacky"?

I honestly don't know what The Monster could be about, other than the fact that it could be about the evil in him acting out.

I'm sorry, did you not think the OP's idea was retarded?

Eminem would never do something so tacky. There's a massive difference between being a controversial asshole, Shady style, and being a disgusting, hateful piece of shit desperately attempting to be edgy. Slim Shady is the former, OP's idea is 100% the latter.

Agree...
That's what I was saying in the one thread when there was rumored lyrics saying "If my gun gets took Ill go to sandy hook n kill a kid with a coloring book"
and memebers are saying how good that would be and how happy they'd be if he said that.
Lol it's crazy, he wouldn't say some sick shit like that..

Columbine kids were bullied and were aiming for kids who fucked with them, which is where Em's satire came from in that line. There's no humor in Kindergarten kids being shot by a 20sumthin year old. And I'm morally corrupt.

Would be extremely lame tbh

This is the time for Eminem to shine with his creativity, not just let it go

There doesnt have to be a reason behind the song...hes making it just to make it

just to get a reaction out of you, its what his whole career is built off of

making outrageous songs and statements to invoke feelings of hatred towards him.

No, he had reasons for everything. Kim was obvious, you get so mad you wanna do that or a lot of people do. He made a song about it. He says faggot and all that shit cuz that's how we talked to each other. Then he got criticized for it by people he didn't give a fuck about and kept saying it. Etc Etc Simple. 6 year olds getting shot to death in cold blood is cooompletly different than anything he's done that was controversial. He has 3 daughters, wtf

I don't know how you can possibly claim to like an artist and yet misunderstand him so terribly. Even Juggalos would think you're an idiot.

FWIW, there's also a massive difference between a silly shock value throwaway line (i.e. that fake "coloring book" line) and an devoting an entire song to supporting one of the most despicable mass murderers in American history. Again, if you can't see that, you need psychological help.

Yet if he did make that song, you guys would be the first ones on here defending it, talking about how dark Em was on that record and how raw he was and how awesome the hypothetical controversy is.

And really, don't deny it. I doubt a single one of you would be on here debating how big of a psychopath Eminem is.
