I'll never understand why they brought in a manager who never won anything for 16 years with his previous club to take Fergies role. Funny though.

It's pretty simple... they didn't wanna ruin the structure of the club & no big manager would deal with it. Bringing young lads from the academy, giving them a chance & trying hard to make 'em part of the team is vital for United & Fergie mastered it in the modern football era.
You probably know United is very very different to the other big clubs if we talk about that.
As a matter of fact it's not them... it's pretty much Fergie himself who brought in Moyes. I know it's too early since any manager in the world could have struggled at United after Fergie but things are definitely bad at this moment.

Moyes has never been a manager at top level football, spent his career at a mid table EPL side so it's obvious he is going to struggle and possibly fail at Man United's level. There is plenty of top managers all over Europe who would of done a better job than Moyes has. I know it's early days but if United fail to qualify for Europe this season, United will have big problems in attracting top level signings and trying to qualify back into Europe. Just look at Liverpool for example, they are only just finding there feet now. United would of normally slaughtered teams like Southampton at home, if results and form carry on I can see a downfall.

I agree tens of managers would have done way better job but again no big manager would deal with the structure of the club & like I said that's vital for United. It's either... bring in top manager & let him buy 10 new players & push the strategy with giving a chance to as many young lads as possible aside or bring in a manager that actually fits to the strategy of United. It was always gonna be the second choice... success isn't certain but they won't give up on a strategy Fergie's build for more than 2 decades. Moyes has done great for Everton considering the budget & the players he's had & he's brought great players out of their academy but the question now is if he's gonna be able to win been a manager of a big club which is used to success unlike Everton. So far... not at all but it's definitely way early for sacking him.
You pointing out obvious stuff but you don't really get the point why Fergie wanted Moyes at the first place. I mean they pretty much could have appointed any coach in the world without a problem so ironically Moyes have been chosen ahead of tens of top managers from all over Europe.

Barca dropped points... Roma is now the only team out of the big European leagues with 100% record. :worship: I hope that's gonna last a few more games too!

They beat Norwich City at home, one of the worst teams in the EPL, Dortmund will give them a hard game plus Arsenal are shit in Europe. Last time they got past the group stages was back in 2008 when Liverpool beat them at home.

Dortmund will definitely give them a hard time but I see Arsenal winning this... they play some great football right now.

Alright, not as tasty as those fixtures, but it should still be a decent game. :sweating:

Should be a good week of football tbh.
