I do think The Heist was a fucking amazing CD though.

It's pretty dope. Whenever I hear people talk about Mack or hear him on the radio to the point where I start hating it, I play The Heist to remind me that he actually is a good rapper.

I agree with Talib Kweli. He made a video saying he believes The Heist is a game changer, and I really believe we'll look back at that album as something that changed the game and what not.

He's got the catchy radio tunes, Thrift Shop, Can't Hold Us, White Walls, and Same Love.

But he's also got Ten Thousand Hours, Thin Line, Make the Money, Neon Cathedral, Jimmy Iovine, Wings, A Wake, Starting Over. The only song I don't like is Cowboy Boots.

Heist wasn't trash, but I know a lot of older Macklemore fans that hate him now.

I get it, we are at a moment in society where homosexuality is becoming acceptance.
That's great, and I'm glad artists like Macklemore are supporting it.
What I don't like is this sense of self entitlement. The fact that they are calling Eminem a homophobe NOW, as if they weren't there before when they protested against him. It's a pathetic sense of trend following.

It's funny because they're falling into the true reasoning for him having these lines in the first place. No matter how many times they can be like "Well he shouldn't be using slurs, he's established and shouldn't still be making shock value songs", they are buying into it. They can act all self aware, but, at the end of the day, they're bringing the exact kind of publicity Eminem is looking for.

No matter how many psuedo-save-the-world tweets they post, they are working in his favor.

mack is a good rhymer, the radio makes him sound shitty af... check the heist, it has a ouple of jewels in it

His wordplay is alright, but I think what he lacks in a technical aspect, he makes up for it with what he's saying and speaking on.
