Sup with each song coming out one by one, before a leak. I'll slowly have the album in a hype-killiNg slow fashion

Lol I know, right? I honestly wanted to listen to MOST of the songs in one sitting.

I was okay with having 3 off the main album, and I feel having 4 before it's release/leak is a bit too much.

I think the album will leak before this song even comes out, at the very least it will leak a day or so later so it will basically be the same as hearing the rest of the songs all at once. :D

Didn't Eminem Show have a lot of releases before the album too?

This may have been said earlier on the anticipation thread or the tracklisting thread by another user but I really hope conceptually, "The Monster" is part of a bigger theme of the album. What I am trying to say is that I hope the album is about personal shit of Eminem that no one has ever heard before. I feel like there is a massive illusion among his fans that we know EVERYTHING about his life and if not everything that almost everything. I think this is very wrong. There is probably a bunch of fucked shit that Eminem hasn't put in his music or interviews.

One thing that was very interesting was that in one interview, he alluded to something that he has never discussed before or afterwards. He said that when he learned that he would of died 2 hours later after his overdoes, that shit haunted him. He said every night he would think about that and it would creep him out and shit. His "I'm the walking dead" line from Rap God reminded me of that. An entire song about this concept would be very chilling and interesting. There is most likely a shit ton of craziness that Eminem went through during his overdoes and detox period that he has not told the public because recovering from an addiction to benzos and opiates at the same fucking time is FUCKED.

I think when you have songs like "Rap God" and "Legacy," with the album name Marshall Mathers 2 -- the album is largely going to be a response to critics and haters as the first one was.

"See if I get away with it now that I ain't as big as I was"

"It's not hip hop, it's pop. Cause I found a hella way to fuse it, with rock, shock rap with Doc"

This is an artist who is extremely self aware and listens to anything and everything people say. Even on H:TS he made some references to screaming.

I think it's gonna be an album tackling criticisms of his recent work head on, and proving to people he still has it.

He's exhausted everything else about his life. Kids, ex wife, drug addiction, recovering from drug addiction, skin color, etc.

Unless he comes up with concept songs like Stan, I think we're headed for an album largely addressing critics, fans, and the state of hip hop.

I've liked the beats so far but I cannot disagree with the second half of your post.

Dre >

I always see people say this but honestly, The Bass Brothers/Jeff Bass were responsible for the best beats on Eminem's better albums. The two albums Dre had the majority of productions with (Encore/Relapse) were average at best.

The Bass Brothers and Eminem need to work together again, but I believe something occurred between the two parties since The Eminem Show?

I'm excited for this song. I'm really hoping for its conceptual content to be original, and a game changer.

As much as I love several flows in a song, I hope he sticks to one for this one.

This :y: I actually went on a Facebook page for the Bass Brothers a long time ago and begged them to produce for Em. Imagine if they came back man :flutter: I really think THAT would push this album into his catalog of classics, I have no doubts that he can bring it lyrically.
