Supposedly it's debuting on a Detroit radio station. Which leads me to believe that it's going to be more on the "poppy" "appeal to the general masses" type of song. In other words, it going to be like Love the Way You Lie.

Means nothing. Stan and The Way I Am were singles.

That was also 10 years ago and they didn't feature a pop star. I hope I'm wrong. I'm just saying.

What's your biggest worry about the album? Or more specifically, what song scares you the most?

I have zero faith in Headlights. That's a high risk/high reward song. It's either gonna be one of Eminem's best songs period, of one of his worst.

I can tolerate some bad Em songs, Fack included, but the one song I cannot for the life of me listen to is Lighters. I just can't. It sounds like ear poison. Luckily, that was on a collabo album and not a solo release.

If he puts a Lighters type track on a solo album -- one called MMLP 2 no less -- I'm not gonna lie, I'll be very upset.

Yes, I nip on SL occasionally. Apparently, Asshole is a serious song about how much of a dick he is/has been to be around.

Like I said, I like skylar, but she got a bit boring to me. However, if its anything like her 'Final Warning' chorus, i'm happy. She's just got to mix it up. She can sound too ghostly and sweet sometimes. Makes you think that she's always going to go in to 'I'm about to lose my mind..'

Dido? And Rihanna isn't a pop star either.. Confusing yourself again. Mainstream doesn't not equal pop. Britney Spears, Bieber, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga. Those are examples of pop. No artist on MMLP2 fits in that category.

I do agree about Lighters though.

I love Royces verse, I love Ems verse, and I think Bruno Mars is a brilliant writer/singer.

However, all of it together was a bit cringey, if i'm honest.

Corny punchlines are also a very real concern I have.

But Rap God showed promise. Stuff like massacre/mass occur was pretty good.

I miss the old clever wit from the SSLP though

I was listening to that album a few weeks ago and he had a lot of lines that still make me laugh out loud when I hear them.

But if we get more of those "put this shit in park like dog shit"-esque lines, we're in for a long album.
