Lol not many of Em's punchlines are actually "omg cringe-worthy WOAT rapper Eminem fell off" like people make them out to be. So stupid. Worse rappers like Kanye and Jay FILL their verses with filler lines and don't get half as much shit as Eminem does for actual good punchlines.

Totally agree. But the difference is most people listen to Kanye and Jay for the trend factor.

It's cool to play them in your car while they name drop designers and labels and rap about money. People like to envision themselves as those guys. So a corny line here or there goes under the radar.

A lot of people listen to Eminem purely for his clever wordplay, so any line that isn't up to snuff is magnified.

It's acceptable for Kanye because he was never known for his lyricism, really. However, Jay was, and because his famous bars with double/quadruple/sextuple meanings are now pretty corny, he catches a lot of shit too. Look around mane, Jay gets shit from casual fans too; especially because he was considered a great lyricist.
