Feels like the only time I hear/read about Em news is when I log in here.

You wouldn't know Em was coming out very soon with fucking MARSHALL MATHERS LP TWO and I live in New York.

For Recovery, it was like you couldn't escape him if you tried. I saw those Vince sham-wow type commercials, I remember him being on every music magazine cover.

What the fuck gives? Is it just me?

He named it after the biggest record of his career. You would think you'd hear more about it in the outside world.
recovery turned out shit

I loved Recovery.

doubt there's any specific technology...they wouldn't waste their money on it
My guess is that CD's are just printed later these days

I'd be willing to bet a handful of people have it by now. What they could do, is password lock the disc digitally so that the few people who have it can listen to it in a CD player but not actually copy the files to a computer. Then send out an email with the password the day it releases/leaks. Probably wouldn't cost anything at all.

good idea...but how would you give the password to every consumer who buys it when it comes out? they would need a password too. Seems like a major hassle

M Solo could be legit, but he is probably just planning a huge troll job on everyone at this point.

Same here. I bet it will or could reach a mill first week if this doesn't leak or at least holds off until the 1st. I think I might just listen to the snippets if they up on iTunes & will listen to The Monster, i'll be fine until the CD hits the store. But it will be hard for me not to listen with all these great tracks that are gonna be floating around.

Do it. You have to at least once.

I bought every album first day from SSLP to Encore. Relapse, Recovery, H:TS were all midnight itunes purchases :(

Not the same feeling.

I didn't listen to the Relapse leak. I remember hearing the beat and flow for My Mom the first time :flutter:

It's still not as cool as going to the store though. But fuck it. I dun earned my stan stripes. I'm probably digital from here on in.

I didn't mean actually purchased copies. Just the handful of people that have probably been given a copy ahead of time.

Those people rarely leak anyway though. Once it hits warehouses is when it usually leaks, which is 10-14 days before release.

i absolutely would listen to that. I mean, you cant really enjoy the songs, but you still get to know if you like them. So if you like them, you can be really looking forward to actually hear them in high quality, if you dont like them then.... well the bad quality doesnt matter that much at all. So or so, you will get to know the songs.

Thats a horrible way to have a first listen.. I didn't like Berzerk the first two times I heard it cause radio quality made it sound like too much was going on.. After I downloaded the iTunes version, I loved it cause everything sounded so crisp. Cannot imagine through a phone.
