Cry me a river. Like Kanye's life has been remotely affected by it...

Laughing so hard at this.
So we're only supposed to listen to people who have been greatly undermined from racism that still blatantly exists... because people will clearly listen to those people. They have platforms to speak from, huh?
I'm sure African-Americans would have advanced so far if they didn't have larger figure head voices speaking for them for their advancements.
Ignorance is a bliss.

Oh please, don't even attempt to act like he is speaking on behalf of the masses of impoverished black people of America and beyond. The dude spends his life dressed in the most expensive designer clothing, lives in a mansion, drives ridiculously expensive cars, and enjoys tweeting pics of his latest jewellery hauls. By no stretch of the imagination is Kanye representing or speaking on behalf of the African-American underclass, so I'm not the least bit convinced that he is using his status as a "platform" to be some type of Martin Luther King figurehead. Perhaps if he was actually out there putting his money where his big mouth is and actively making a difference I might start to take him seriously, but he'd rather spend his time talking about his cushty little life on middle-class white America chat shows with Kris Jenner. He is playing the racist card for the most trivial, selfish reasons. Most of the impoverished black people you claim he is speaking for probably think he's a massive twat.

Cube23 wrote:Kanye believes what he's doing helps people. He believes that the platforms he uses (music and speeches) makes a difference. That's fine if you think it doesn't, but I have NEVER listened to him and said "This guy hasn't said any groundbreaking points and nothing he's saying seems to be false".

Cube23 wrote:Kanye West does make a difference to people. I'm a fashion designer and he has indeed opened my eyes to some things. He's superbly intelligent. So it's not about doing what you believe makes a difference and is correct anymore? It's apparently about doing what others before you have done.
