Yeah, I feel like Rap God was kind of the "street single" that would excite the fans, but not radio. Monster is probably going to be like his typical 2nd or 3rd singles and be a decent mix of both pop and lyricism and/or message.

I doubt it. LTWYL was released basically at the same time right when the album was releasing. So you have the huge surge of attention for a few days on Eminem when a song drops...then right when it would've started to fade, the album drops. It's a great promotional time frame.

If thats the case then maybe Rap God was not a part of the plan.

Never forget how many diamond albums Rick Rubin has produced in so many more genres than hip-hop. He knows what he is doing, as does dre and Em. Don't forget the Sia track, and the Fun. singer Nate Ruess too, he always makes songs "radio worthy"... and the track that is going to create the biggest buzz, like it or not, is going to be love game.

Eminem has never let anyone kill him on his own track, or any track for that matter, and kendrick is going to have something to prove. That song is going to have some of the greatest bars of the century.
