I think we are overreacting a little bit? I mean at this point, Interscope had better stream the songs themselves, I don't believe the majority of the songs will be like Monster to be honest, the relatively short verses, long hooks, Rihanna...are chosen for radio stations and perhaps a broader audience. But they can't blame us for overreacting, because we still have no actual grasp of the whole album so far and it's being released one week later makes the situation extremely weird. Even if this album is a cluster of mess, at this stage, rather than keeping secrecy, letting it out could't hurt it more imo, the damage has been there. I still trust Em, no matter what, even Encore I accepted back in the days, I just think this whole situation is really getting weird...

Eminem needs songs like this to stay relevant.

It's actually a really good song though, listen to the lyrics.

Real talk, and the song serves its purpose. We'll hear the rest of the album and cry because it's so good. Koolo was right because the verses are 10/10 and that's probably what he meant. Get over it and grow up, like Em did, guys.

We can either discuss our opinions on a song or not. But seeing as we all invested time in waiting for this album for 1000 days I think it's legitimate to air those views.

This hasn't crushed me psychologically, don't worry. As for growing up, there's a lot more mature music on mmlp. This is lowest common denominator nonsense. You know it and so does em. That's the worst bit!

This is why we're getting a bonus disc with the songs he probably would rather have in the place of The Monster.

Seriously I question the age or at least the maturity level of some of the posters. Maybe some of them are teens who got into Em recently, and want him to sound like he did 14 years ago.

You know how embarrassing that would look if a 41 year old tried to rap like his 26 year old self?

He's matured as a person. He's showed growth.

He isn't the angry, angst-filled 20 something from way back when. He's not a hot head involved in multiple rap beefs, and public feuds with his mother or ex wife.

This is a 41 year old recovering addict with a family, at a crossroads in his career in terms of how much longer he plans to keep this going.

Yeah, 26 year old Em might diss 41 year old Em, but our younger selves should always differ from our older selves.

If after 15 years you're the same person with the same mindset, that's sad.

And as it's been said a few times -- I'd rather take current Em over no Eminem.

It is catchy, it will blow up and be played for months. There's no denying it. But at what cost...AT WHAT COST

Wake up.

How many times have we heard this?

Rehashed, recycled made-for-radio rubbish. Nothing original and nothing interesting. 3 years in the making.

At no cost, you're overreacting...what, at the cost of skipping one song on a 21 song album including bonuses?

That was tongue in cheek overreaction admittedly. But still, I really hate this song mate and it's depressing implications.

I know there will be lots of worthwhile stuff elsewhere on the album.

That's fine man. That's all I'm asking is to hear the whole album before you judge.
