No Love is absolute garbage.

As a song it's definitely one of the lower tier on the album, but his verse is fucking fire on that.

What time today are you getting your hands on the album?

Brother got it yesterday, he stays over 40 miles away in the Edinburgh area but I'll be seeing him tonight and I'll have a listen then. He did explain why it seems to be not be leaking which actually makes a lot of sense.

Not leaking anything myself though, I'll leave that to someone else as there'll be a few copies starting to go missing now. From what he's told me there's a few surprises throughout the album and a lot of references to the first MMLP. I think there's more of that deep voiced "My Darling" demon as well. He isn't gushing over how much of a masterpiece the album is but he did say it's an improvement on the past three albums so that's a positive. There is a very dark vibe throughout the album and The Monster is by far the most commercial song.

Obviously there'll be plenty who assume I've been talking out my hole about this the past two weeks but I don't really give a fuck now.

From a pure rapping point, yes. As a song.....no

I'm sorry I had to say this, but you're an idiot if you think he wanted to sound like "song-song" type of track.

Again...it came out before The Monster for a reason.

Obviously it was a showcase of lyrical ability, but it's still a fucking song man. I like it, it's a 7/10 for me, which could have been an 8-9 if not for the terrible beat and some of the whack lines between the dope shit.

But it's get overrated by stans because of the garbage around it.

the wack lines lol? there is a wack line on every single rap song in existence, you know why? cuz its subjective what makes a line wack, there are general guidelines yes, but its up to peoples interpereation. for example i dont think the corny lines on recovery, are nearly as corny as some people on this forum do. i think a lot of the wording on relapse is really corny, what words he chooses to end bars on, same goes for every rappers material. Rap God for me is a 9/10, best thing hes put out at all since recovery, and i think recovery is better than anything he put out since 2003.

I admire you not leaking it tbh, but make sure to start a thread with some small spoilers like what the song is about, type of beat, general view, things like that. That will be awesome

I don't want anyone to get mad at me...but I think it's too late for that. I have a feeling a good amount of people are already grumpy enough to ruin even a really great album. I could be wrong...but I doubt people are going to get over it.

i agree =( its unfortunate that peoples opinions on an entire body of work can be squandered by one or two songs they dont like. its not really a fair judgement. Im probably going to skip the monster when it comes on, its decent, but not my cup of tea. will it ruin the entire album for me? fuck that. thats a piss poor way to formulate opinions on things.

It's kind of like an old athlete. There will be a lot of strike outs, but the occasional home run makes you remember better times.

Shame on Em for calling this mmlp2. Shame on us for expecting something amazing.

I'll put the good songs on my phone and enjoy, the rest I'll pretend doesn't exist.

Hopefully I'm wrong and it's a classic. But we will probably just get a hand full of good songs, the rest meh.

I hope I can replace some songs on the album with bonus tracks.

People seem to think a lot of the time that bonus tracks me less quality tracks than the album.

But that's not always the case. A lot goes into making a track list. And sometimes really good songs get left off. So, hopefully there will be some good songs on the bonus.
