People always try to discredit Em's battle skills by pointing to his opponents.
It wasn't his fault Murder Inc had a history with G-Unit and he had to jump in.
Wasn't his fault benzino went at him to make a name for himself.
He didn't dodge Canibus either and went at him as well.
You play who's in front of you. Like a sports team. Those were the people in front of him.
My thinking is.. Look at The Warning. That in 2009 when he was just getting sharp again. Could you imagine what the fuck would happen if he dropped something like that in 2013, and aimed towards a rapper who disrespected him? He dropped something lethal and that was directed to a female pop star cause she denied a relationship with him. Just picture it.
I said it before but that diss track must be the most unintentionally hilarious name of any of his diss tracks. He ethered her and her husband in one line (gonna ruin my career you better get one), spliced an actual voice mail she left him with his lyrics -- and tells her it was a warning. Lmao. How much more devastating could he have been? He said that was a warning.
Yes I understand it's a pop singer but, you put him in a beef with a rapper and make it personal -- well, we've all seen the results.
He grew up battling. He wasn't a mixtape rapper. He didn't have industry connections. He came up battling. That's what he specializes in.
