Easily better?

Huge Relapse fan. I have a lot more complaints with this album than I did with Relapse. The accents didn't bother me in the least bit or anything.

Accents didn't bother me either, they only added to the album. I personally think "Bad Guy" shits on the whole album though.

Bad Guy shits on everything he's done since 2002. ON EVERYTHING.

But I still think Relapse is easily better than this.

Strongly disagree. Best song on Relapse can't top at least 3 or 4 songs from this album IMO. Let alone all the duds on Relapse.

Not only is it better, but it SHITS on it. I haven't had this feeling when listening to new music/album since Eminem Show. I could go a year without listening to Relapse/Recovery now and not miss out, but with this I know I'll love these tracks for a long time.

Oh, I agree with the part that 3 or 4 songs on this album are better than the best Relapse song. But the only song I think is awful on Relapse is Crack A Bottle. So I wouldn't trade what I see as consistency for an album with huge highs and huge lows.

We see it differently.. Maybe after a while this will grow on you, like Relapse did for me. But half of the songs on this album are highlights for me. From 2004 through 2012, Relapse and parts of Recovery we're great in that time period, but for Em's career, they fell short and we had to accept that Em couldn't do that anymore.. But he just proved us wrong, and to me, this will be up with the best music Em has done.

What this album has done for hip-hop and Eminem's story > all of your malformed nostalgic ideologies on how Em should be.

The Beatles got just as much criticism if not more when they switched up their entire style after 10 years. No one liked it, they said it was the end of the Beatles. Then they took it to the next level and became the main influence of the genre and arguably all music world wide for the next 20 years.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone....

But how the fuck can anyone say that Relapse is easily better than MMLP2? While I love Relapse, and have loved it since I first heard it back when it was released... it is in no way close to being as good as MMLP2. I've constantly praised Relapse on this forum, with some members even insulting me for how much I praise that album.... it's genius in it's on right, but MMLP2 is on the same level of greatness as SSLP, MMLP, and TES.

And no I'm not one of those people that dick rides every new Eminem release, I was never truly convinced when Recovery came out and still consider it his worst album... but MMLP2 has that same almost mythological feeling that his first 3 major albums had.

When I heard Relapse.... I remember Deja Vu giving me goosebumps.... and even Almost Famous on Recovery gave me goosebumps.... on MMLP2... I got goosebumps with the first song... and then some with a handful of other records.. I've been listening to Eminem for 15 fucking years now, and I am completely overwhelmed with how great this album is... I honestly didn't expect something this amazing. I'm still in awe.....

Other words, Relapse is great but calm down fam lol
