L-O-L irl at Roc being a battle rapper or having battle rap lyrics. Once again it seems like you heard a track or two and automatically made your judgement up. Reloaded is classic front to back. Dude has a smooth, laid back flow/delivery which ill admit isn't for everyone, but he is far from any sort of battle rapper. So Death Parade, Tek To A Mack, 76, Flash Gordon, etc are 'bad underground beats' hahahaha. Fuck outta here shun.

And Mighty Mi's beats were less than stellar. Another thing that killed me with the Cage album was it only rivaled 'Legends Never Die' in the Worst Hooks of The Year category.

Peep these albums if/when you have some spare time and hook up some feedback...

L'Orange & Stik Figa - The City Under The City
Black Milk - No Poison No Paradise
Billy Woods & Blockhead - Dour Candy
Spark Master Tape – The #SWOUP Serengeti
The Doppelgangaz - HARK!

^All have a much different sound then the 'cookie cutter boom bap' underground sound that you claim the tracks you listened to had.

That sentence was more about your taste as a whole, not Roc Marciano himself. Although I guess typical poverty/underground/gangsta lyrics would fit your taste better. And Roc Marciano is the definition of having no personality, mic presence or energy at all. His delivery never changes and his flows never changes.

Might Mi's beats were perfect for what the album was. An overly produced album would have ruined Cage's style.

Black Milk is awesome although I haven't listened to that album yet but I'm not going to listen to a whole album of that shit. If you give me specific tracks I can return feed on those.
You think your personal attacks make up for what you lack?

Black Milk's album is nowhere near Tronic. He's kinda fallen off a bit.

Other than CrashBand, Watsky's Cardboard Castles is getting slept on so hard in this thread.

No mention of Glaciers by Blue Sky Black Death is embarrassing, as well. I encourage everyone to check these guys out. Top notch production:

Here's some older stuff they've produced with Nacho Picasso rapping over. I love their sound:

I have listened to Rappers Best Friend 1 and 2. I have listened to First Infantry, Russian Roulette and approximately 30 alchemist beats on YouTube. I have heard his tracks with Slaughterhouse.

Now that i have said that, MOST alchemist collaboration projects are BORING as fuck!!! The guy is talented, i used to stan him out coz its "kewl" to do so but with more honesty, they really are. The ones i listed above are good to great because the rappers have personality, presence, interesting lyrics or the beat is just there not ruined by awful vocals. That said

Action Bronson- Blue Chips
Domo Genesis- whatever it was called
Prodigy- Albert Einstein
Roc Marciano and alchemist combos

NONE of these projects are even remotely interesting to listen to. The voices, the pacing, the lyrics, its A BORE!!! As soon as i saw Albert Einstein in the top ten, i knew that our tastes would never be in sync.

That said,
J Cole- Born Sinner is mad underrated. Only album this year i play constantly. Yes, it peters off and becomes stale in the middle, yes, he has a one dimensional subject matter, yes, the production is a bit monotone but he delivered some very interesting lines there.

50 Mcs.... If you thought Symphony in H was bad, then this whole album is absolute shit. I couldn't finish it. Garbage.

I don't care about not being cool no more. I won't endorse generic bull like that to be cool.

I will say, like Class i Like RA's album. I haven't really given it a proper listen but that Hoolyahoo track is my jam! Lol

MMLP2 easily
TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

I think I've said this in another thread buy for me it's:

-J. Cole's:Born Sinner
-R.A the Rugged Man: Legends Never Die
-Drake: Nothing Was the Same (still trying to process this album in my head)

A lot of people are telling me MMLP2 is the best album this year, but I'll see.

EDIT: Also shout out to Trunk Muzik Returns, given its a mixtape, I decided to exclude it.
