This album is fun. I think my fav tracks are Bad Guy, Asshole, Rap God, So Much Better, Berzerk, So Far, Love Game, and the Ken Kaniff outro in one of the bonus songs.

How is Wicked Ways not loved here? It's one of my favorite tracks. The flow is incredible and every other line is quotable.

I kinda wish he used "C'mon Let Me Ride" flow in some song though.

I loved his flow on the album...I like that sorta weird flow but it's also very Eminem-ish too.

Yeah, the flow was brilliant but I think some CLMR "chill out" fow would have fitted on it.

I think it's weird on the same level that Picasso and Shakespeare is weird. It's so artistic and complex. Em is at his peak lyrically still. I don't know why people expect you to get dumber and worse at your craft the older you get. People just get old and boring, that's all.

Robbie G wrote:I think people are over-rating this album. It doesn't hold up against his first three.(Not that I expected that)

It had some really good moments (Headlights, Legacy, Brainless) but there were way too many forgettable tracks. I'm not really a fan of his flow on most of the album either, it's too weird for me.

I need to give it another listen soon, but it's definitely better than I was expecting.

Could somebody PM me a link to stream/download the bonus tracks?

I agree with most of this, but it's understandable that the album is a little overrated right now. Opinions will most likely change in a few weeks, and besides I don't think it was THAT far off of the quality of SSLP (which, although great, has always been my least favourite amongst the 3) I think a lot of people are simply relieved there were some classic tracks, even though the album itself wasn't a classic. (in my opinion)

Em snapped on Brainless, Evil Twin, Baby, and Wicked Ways. all amazing songs. And I give props to ADK, the WW beat was fucking dope! :worship:
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again?
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line

In order for Eminem to be solidified as a true musical legend, hall of fame material, he had to get out of that angsty teenager music. The world expects him to grow. I give this album a 10/10. It will do more for music than any of his previous albums. And I mean MUSIC, not just rap heads and twisted minds who just want to hear their inner psycho have a catharsis on a beat.

actually once you get over your initial stan boner, and have a good 7 listens, the genius comes through a lot more, the whole message becomes clear. every aspect of his middle aged personality is laid bare on this album, with solid flow and lyrics, nothing corny.. it's managed to erase his mess ups in recovery and bme, out of mind, em is back on top form for sure
