Rap God is one of the worst ***SONGS*** on MMLP2 to be honest.. The first verse describes it perfectly..
"You don't wanna get into a pissing match with that wappity wap fap fap wap rap rap backpack crap lack mack"
It's just a show of talent, that's it.

Evil Twin, Legacy, RoR, Bad Guy..

I don't even like MMLP2 as much as some of you groupies but the album does have a theme.. he just loosely sticks to it.. if it were any ONE track.. it's Bad Guy.. final verse at bare minimum..

It actually isn't just a show of talent (or, what you're saying @ 'just rhymes') though.

'see if I get away with it now that I ain't as big as I was... ' is a totally MMLP-esque provocation, and also a nice little expose of the selectiveness of censorship / media scapegoating. A line and point truly worthy of being relevant to the MMLP name.

Then you have beautiful writing like:

"Everybody want the key and the secret key to rap immortality like I have got
Well, to be truthful the blueprint's - simply rage and youthful exuberance
Everybody loves to root for a nuisance"

This style is the most eloquent on the album and that is not just rhyming for the sake of rhyming. He's actually intelligently commenting on himself and what he does 'everybody loves to root for a nuisance', without being obvious or too self-serious. Treating himself as a character again.

And this track is ram-packed with self-referential humour, and truly tongue-in-cheek self-analysis and piss-taking like the whole 'it's not, mainstream it's pop'... THAT is MMLP, that is not just a show of talent, that is him fictionalizing himself again, properly, humorously, politically.

This track totally houses a modern MMLP vibe and lyrics. This nonsense that it's just a display of skill is totally wrong. Some of the best lyrics/moments on the album.

Bad Guy's second half easily, it sums up everything I feel like he wanted to say. It's also one of the most incredible things he's ever wrote in my mind. VERY POWERFUL.

Em raps with such eloquence that he can make non-rhyming words sound like they rhyme. This tricky pronunciation is referred to here as “lyrical acrobats”.

“Backpack Rap” is a term used to describe rap artists who go against the mainstream. Yackity-yak is noisy talk: talking without saying anything. “Yackity-yack backpack” rappers might be similar to the “lyrical miracle” rappers he has mentioned in the past. Basically underground artists who think they are lyrical geniuses just because they rhyme a bunch of words without any meaning. Considering the line later in the verse about a certain Dizaster-ously bad rapper, Em might be calling someone out in particular.
