What's this, a man in the Hot 100's top three? Indeed, as, after seven weeks of only women occupying the region, Eminem debuts at No. 3 with "The Monster," featuring Rihanna. The arrival ties for his third-best among 48 career visits, matching the September start of "Berzerk," the lead single from his album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," which is set to debut at No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200 with the year's second-best sales frame. Eminem has started better on the Hot 100 only with "Not Afraid" (No. 1, 2009) and "Love the Way You Lie," also featuring Rihanna (No. 2, on its way to a seven-week reign, in 2010).

"Monster" opens at No. 1 on Digital Songs with 373,000. It's his ninth No. 1 on the chart, tying him with Katy Perry for the second-most leaders in the tally's history. They trail only Rihanna, who, thanks to her featured turn on the song, ups her total to 13. The track also storms onto Streaming Songs at No. 17 (2.3 million first-week streams) and No. 31 on Radio Songs (37 million, up 265%). On the latter list, it's his second-best start after 2004's "Just Lose It" (No. 17).
Fellow tracks from Eminem's new set rank back-to-back-to-back in the Hot 100's top 20: "Berzerk" (25-15); "Survival" (67-16 with Digital Gainer honors, as it increases by 240% to 140,000); and "Rap God" (21-17). (The sales spikes for the three titles reflect both individual purchases of the songs as well as sales via the album pre-order on iTunes (through Sunday, Nov. 3). With the pre-purchase of the set, Eminem's four current Hot 100 tracks are all delivered automatically, with the consumer charged for each track as a deposit for the album.)
The rapper becomes just the sixth act ever to place at least four songs in the Hot 100's top 20 simultaneously, joining the Beatles (who boasted a record six in two weeks in 1964), 50 Cent (2005), T-Pain (2007-08), Lil Wayne (2008) and Ludacris (2010).
Notably, 50 Cent, T-Pain and Lil Wayne all earned the honor with hits that included featured billings. Thus, Eminem is, amazingly, the first artist since the Beatles, the week of May 16, 1964, to chart four titles in the Hot 100's top 20 all as a lead artist.
More honors for Eminem: "Monster" opens atop Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, where, incredibly, it's his first No. 1 among 42 career visits. He'd previously peaked as high as No. 2 with "Rap God," "Berserk" and 2009's "Forever."
