Most likely gay people wouldn't buy Em's album anyways.... I'd be more worried about the leak affecting sales than gay people buying Em's album to be honest. Do people really pay attention to album reviews? Reading them it's so clear that it's just one persons opinion..

Plenty of gays and lesbians will buy MMLP2, if they haven't already. Eminem has many fans of all sorts of backgrounds. Sure, some LGBT people are offended by the lyrics and I can understand why they feel that way and wouldn't tell them they're wrong, but the majority of this controversy is from good old-fashioned straight white liberals convinced they know exactly how everyone should think and behave.

Which is exactly why I'm not worried about these BS reviews affecting sales.. People are getting smarter (I think) and realizing that allowing people like that to influence the way you think is fucking stupid. I can't imagine someone who was an Em fan going to one of those retarded websites to read a retarded review written by a retard and then decide not to buy the album because it was a negative review.

Lmao since when? They're all for free speech so long as you agree with them and only say what they want you to say. The people criticizing Eminem for allegedly homophobic lyrics are liberals. Mainstream American conservatives don't give a fuck about homophobia because many of them are openly homophobic themselves. They'd be the type to get offended by the profanity, not the so-called gay bashing. This is all liberals. Fuck both ideologies for being narrow minded in their own way.

Well I guess that makes sense. I'm a liberal and have always believed that liberals value free speech more than conservatives do. I guess conservatives don't give a shit because they hate gays too, though. Whereas bleeding heart liberals are all over this trying to get a "good story" moreso than protect gays. A normal liberal like myself would hear MMLP 2 and not take "faggot" seriously. But a dumb ass liberal would take it seriously, like the reviewers you speak of.

You have to keep in mind a lot of these critics, especially by now, already have formed opinions of Eminem. These guys critique the artist and not the art. Going into it I'm sure most of them already knew what kind of positive/negative things they were gonna say about him before listening to the album.

Thing is though, these reviews are absolutely irrelevant. They don't actually sway peoples' opinions of albums. They don't contribute much of anything, positive or negative. They just kind of...exist. Their opinion is no better or more meaningful than the listener's. The only difference is theirs is published. But again, name one moment in your life where a critic's review changed your opinion on something? All they do is validate how you feel about something when you agree with their opinion, or annoy you when you don't.

A week from now, you're not gonna remember who these people are or what they wrote about the album. You're gonna appreciate the album and take from it whatever you find personally entertaining about it.

Albums and artists are the ones that last the test of time, not reviews and critics.

Some people try to make a name for themselves by trying to be "that guy." The one who wrote the most venomous review about a popular artist. The one who went against the grain, etc. But that moment of relevancy is extremely short.

Now Magazine: 4/5

So metacritic is at 72 based on 23 reviews. Probably can't hit 80 anymore but oh well.

72 is still pretty good, especially after Pitchfork and AbsolutePunk's halfwit faggotry.

When Eminem scores in the 70's, you know he did pretty good. His classics scored 75 and 78.

Those ARE the re-rated scores. Most critics gave him a 3/10 max.

That's not true. Metacritic is intial scores only.

For instance, Rolling Stone gave it a 4/5 in 2000, but re-rated it to a perfect 5 years later.

I'm okay with that tbh, Billboard score will most likely be positive and I think it could reach 75.

I don't think so, the metascore never change and some critics (XXL, the source ?) have already revisited his first albums.
