Am I alone in hating Beautiful Pain? It's more poverty than most of Recovery.

No way. Lezbos hook is fucking great with the song, and I feel and hear Em int he verses. I feel he means what he's saying. And after the first couple lines in the 2nd verse which were meh, that verse is ill.

Beautiful Pain is dope, a perfect example of a chick hook that works really well as long as Em delivers good verses.

I really didn't feel Beautiful Pain, Desperation, or Wicked Ways. At all.

Desperation is dope, IMO. The verses are nothing special but Jamie N Commons makes that song IMO. His voice is just great IMO.

Wicked Ways, I agree. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It's a 7-7.5 song for me, perfect bonus type song that was pretty good but not good enough to make the album. His sentence and word splitting gets to be a little much in that song.

I still think Baby should've replaced Brainless on the main disc.

Plus it's still Em production. Has a better hook. And he still goes off on the verses.

Wicked Ways sounded like Em stole a Yelawolf beat.

I like her voice, it fits that beat almost perfect. And Em was much better and more natural sounding in that song than some gay shit like The Monster.

No way did Liz or Rihanna do a better job. Survival is what it is, everything about that song is mediocre aside from a bit of Ems verses. And The Monster is really a Katy Perry remix in disguise. That shit was terrible, I can't get over Em for pushing that one on us.

Relapse can't touch MMLP2, especially when you take into consideration the bonus disc.

How do you figure? They're so different they can't even really be compared. It just comes down to which gives every listener more enjoyment. I've been a big Relapse supporter over the years and today I enjoyed it more than MMLP2. I feel, imo and at this point in time only, like Relapse has more personality and it's more of a balls-out, just enjoy the damn thing-album. They are their own beasts

Em's use of metaphorical imagery especially in the 1st verse is pretty well done. I actually prefer Em building themes in his verses like Lupe than going on tangents. Not to say that the internal rhyme stuff isn't impressive, but Beautiful Pain is pretty good.

Is it just me or is he realllly forcing his "old voice" on Groundhog Day? Like, just use your fucking voice, Em. Sounds like he's running out of breath all the time, like he's whispering to a baby he's about to rape, like he's yelling so hard he's barely talking, like you get my point.
