I agree; I don't like the term "too lyrical"...but I think that he made this album for his real fans. the people who will listen to it over and over and over again...and find something new each time. people who will really appreciate it, and soak it up like a sponge. people like everyone here on this forum

it won't be everyone's favorite everything...but even if you're critical of his recent work, at least you're paying attention. I think he worked really hard on this album, put a lot of effort into its creation, and I think he wants people to be able to critically analyze hip hop the way we all are
it's crazy that his 4 singles are all making it big right now...because I don't think that's necessarily what he intended for this album. obviously he released those songs to raise hype about the album...but I feel like the album, overall, is about the art, not the radio play. I love it
